Treelife - Senior Legal Counsel - LLB/LLM

Whom are we looking for?

We are looking for a lawyer with 6-10 years of experience in PQE, working in-house in a corporate or startup looking to build contract lifecycles for our clients.

The candidate will be given exposure to GDPR implementation, global contracts (APAC/MENA/LATAM), and contract lifecycle implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

- Independently draft, review, redline, and negotiate mid-complexity contracts (SAAS, MSA, SOW, Amendments, Change Orders) on behalf of the client independently or along with other stakeholders and secure favorable positions for the client.

- Provide strategic and pre-litigation advisory, engaging directly with marquee founders and investors.

- Ensure high-quality deliverables through rigorous process checks.

- Oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including renewals, extensions, renegotiations,, amendments, and terminations.

- Develop and implement processes and controls that address applicable privacy and data protection requirements for India and abroad including GDPR, COPPA, etc.

- Manage multiple projects efficiently while enhancing client processes.

- Lead contract functions, working closely with Founders.

Key Requirement:

- LLB/LLM from a reputed institute.

- Minimum 7 years of experience after qualification (preferably in-house corporate counsel exposure)

- Organizational skills and flexibility to complete critical tasks on time.

- A Self Starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment.

- Must have excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and oral).
