Role purpose

- Working in the Compliance and Risk Team. You will be working alongside the Compliance Operations Director to ensure the integrity of the day-to-day operations of a wide range of Compliance processes being delivered from the service centre. This is a generalist role where you would be expected to get involved with all areas of the compliance and risk function.

- To complete an established compliance and risk monitoring programme and to build good working relationships with the wider C&R team and partners. To assist with or lead C&R process improvements to ensure the performance of services. Assist in the handling of tasks received from inception to resolution as and when required. To contribute to and carry out compliance and operational projects as required.

- To deputise for the Compliance Operations Director in his absence.

Key accountabilities

Technical activities

- Manage end-to-end C&R services for the Mumbai Shared Services Centre

- Plan, schedule, monitor and assign tasks

- Request and allocate appropriate levels of resource (locally and globally, internally and externally) ensuring the business has a view of upcoming resource requirements

- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed

- Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues

- Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies

- Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation

- Disseminate written policies and procedures and training related to compliance activities

- Manage stakeholder relationships including providing relevant reports and holding regular meetings with stakeholders

- Track and report on progress to relevant parties including managing and escalating any issues and scope changes (progress/risks/issues)

- Ensure all aspects of compliance are met

- Identify risks to service delivery success and drive activities to mitigate those risks

- Proactively contribute to on-going development and process improvements

- Prepare and tracking of project budgets

- Ensure that all services are delivered on time and within budget

- Identify areas of leverage across projects and functions and actively drive improvements to practice and approach that will achieve both organisational best practice and most efficient use of resources

- Ensure that project issues and activities are coordinated across projects and functions

Relationship management

- Ability to create and maintain effective relationships across all lines of defence

- Excellent stakeholder management at all levels

Communication

- Excellent effective communication skills both written and verbal

- Ability to negotiate, influence and persuade individuals and groups

- Ensures that Risk policies and Risk appetite are effectively communicated to and implemented by the appropriate stakeholders at Country level

General

- Undertakes any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development procedures

- Complies with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilities

- Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines

- Carries out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability

Essential

- Education - Any Graduate, Any Specialization

- Previous experience in Compliance & Risk of shared service implementation

- Previous experience of Accreditation, Sanction Checking, Transaction Monitoring, Suspicious Activity Reporting. Fraud experience would be advantageous

- Excellent communication skills in English - both written and verbal

Desirable

- The ability to manage across multiple time zones within a fast-paced and diverse cultural environment

- High level influencing and negotiation skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Visio and MS Project

- A proven track record of achieving results

- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively report and present to Senior Management

- Strong creative problem solving and analytical thinking

- Flexibility and responsive to changing situations; adaptable

- Excellent time management skills and the ability work autonomously

- Experience in successfully managing multiple projects within a global organisation

- Ability to deal with customers and employees at all levels within the organisation
