Looking for candidates with Coal Research and Demand Supply model experience from Big 4s or Research Agencies. Main Purpose: - Develop analysis and views of regional coal markets, with a focus on India and Indonesia. - Provide views on macroeconomic developments in India - Contribute to tasks and requests set for the global research team. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain supply and demand databases related to coal. - Maintain supporting databases relating to prices, stocks, trade etc. - Provide regular reports on the market situation for coal. - Provide regular updates on the macroeconomic situation in India. - Interact closely with traders to ensure information provided is both understood and relevant. - Support the team in ad hoc analytical requests. Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of the dynamics of the Indian coal market and how it fits into the global market. - Some functioning knowledge of base metal markets also preferred but not required. - Strong analytical skills and methods, coupled with modeling capabilities - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Capacity to quickly and efficiently identify and establish what are the best sources of information - Must be a confident user of Microsoft Office programs, especially excel . Experience with Tableau preferred. - B.E/post graduate with minimum 1-6 years of research/analytics experience Key Relationships: - Research team colleagues - Traders - Deals Desk - Operations - M+A Team Reporting Structure : - Reporting to the Research team leader in Mumbai, with dotted line reporting to the Head of Metals and Minerals Analysis.
