This person will come from an Agency (the likes of O&M, Grey, LBB, TVF, Social Samosa, StoryPick, etc) and will have a background in creative writing (lifestyle writing preferably), with recent experience in managing content planning, strategy, and analytics. This person will come with minimum 4 years and max 7 years experience ABOUT THE ROLE : Toppr is looking for a content strategist. You are the owner of all communication at Toppr as you are the gatekeeper of all content here. You define Toppr's brand voice across all communication platforms. You lead a team of content writers and editors to meticulously execute the content plan. You understand Toppr's business objectives and its audience to develop and execute its brand strategies. You put out palatable communication through our website, blog, PR, and social media channels to grow Toppr's reach. HOW YOU WILL RAMP : First week : On-boarding session : Toppr's journey, mission, values, future outlook, and footprint across India. Getting to know the team : Spend time with the content, social media marketing, digital, and offline marketing teams to get up-to-speed on Toppr's product, marketing, and sales strategies. Understanding Toppr and its audience : Conduct research to understand Toppr as a brand. Brainstorm new ideas to create exciting experiences for our current and potential users. By Day 30 : Guide a community of writers (in-house + freelancers) : Based on your findings, source original content for Toppr's website - tailored for our target audience. Build a strong team : Build the foundation of your team by creating content guidelines. Manage editorial calendars, and style guides. Day 90 : Data insights : Use data and feedback from users to help evaluate and enhance the value of our content. Refine content strategies : Monitor industry changes. Manage and refine content strategies and execute optimization tactics. WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED - SO FAR : Education : Bachelor or masters degree in communications or media discipline. A degree in Journalism is preferred. Experience : Minimum 5 years experience working in a content editing and/or content strategy role. Hands-on experience of 360- marketing campaigns is a must. Experience in managing and leading a team is a big plus. Soft Skills : Communication : - Strong writing and editing skills in English. - A perfectionist when it comes to spelling, grammar, and punctuation. - Realizes the importance of brevity. - Understands the special requirements of writing for the web. Sense of data : Expertise in data driven marketing, including content strategies/scaling. Possesses distinctive problem-solving skills. Team player : Knack for influencing without being authoritative. Ability to guide and motivate team members. Pitch in wherever the team needs help. You have worked collaboratively with marketing and product teams. Self-motivated : Can work independently in a high-paced and dynamic environment. Demonstrate a positive, - can-do- attitude.
