ABOUT THE ROLE

Toppr is looking for an Associate Vice President (AVP), Head of Curriculum for Toppr Codr. In this role, you- ll be working with the latest technology tools like code.org, Blockly, Scratch to develop the world's finest coding curriculum for children from ages 6 to 17. You and your team will build curriculums depending on the age and learning abilities of students. You- ll help students build strong logical & problem-solving skills along with developing their creative thinking abilities. As an AVP, you- ll enable the scalability of the curriculum and ensure its adherence to Toppr's pedagogical structure.

HOW YOU'LL RAMP

In First Week-

- Understand Toppr's journey, mission, values, future outlook, and footprint across India.

- Spend time with the Product, Sales, Marketing, Knowledge, and Finance teams to get up-to-speed on Toppr's offering, its competition, and future outlook.

By Day 30 :

- Build engaging and effective curriculum to teach coding and its different aspects to students

- Ensure that curriculum is well-structured and learning outcomes are well-defined for lessons

- Work closely with a team of teachers to ensure the curriculum is taught with consistency and learning outcomes are met. Create curriculums that are fun and stretch students- learning abilities.

By Day 90 :

- Setup and measure metrics around quality, and efficacy of curriculum.

- Constantly keep updating curriculum based on teachers- and students- feedback

- Guide the curriculum team to ensure that top quality standards are met and curriculum lesson plan delivery targets are achieved.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

- BE/BTech from IITs, BITS, NITs and other tier-1 colleges.

- 8+ years of experience in curriculum development with an excellent academic background, functional coding skills, and experience in teaching or developing a curriculum

- An in-depth understanding of activity-based teaching-learning methods with a strong knowledge of pedagogies to teach 21st Century Skills.

- Deep knowledge of programming concepts like algorithms, loops, etc and prior coding experience

- Systems Thinking: Create strong and out of the box curriculum to build a rocket-ship.

- Excellent communicator and relationship builder: A track record of collaborating with a variety of cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

- Dynamic: Strong decision-making and prioritization ability. Should be comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces. Have exquisite attention to detail, and are comfortable learning new technologies and systems.

- Team player: Knack for influencing without being authoritative. Pitch in wherever the team needs help, from writing blog posts to supporting customers.
