Job Role :  - Creation of contracts - aligned to Global VICE templates and best practices from BCCL and India  - Contract negotiation - All contract review and negotiation are done along with Digital JV and advise from the Board/ BCCL/ Vice Global  - Reviewing of Rights and Clearances (adhering to Global VICE Standards in addition to local)  Self-assessment guidelines for India Digital JV for :  - Create a Legal SOP for ready reference in context of Indian laws and best practices of media groups, for Editorial Team to empower them to self-regulate  - Periodic reviews of proposed content slates  - Support for dealing with any defamation notices and proceedings, as also any notices from any government agencies.  - To protect the Vice Brand(s) in India, legal team will advise on the need to file Trademark applications,  - The International legal team to take a call on whether any specific legal steps need to be taken in India for copyright protection of any global formats or content.  - If India Digital JV creates content or any other IP in India, the legal team will advise on copyright protection.  - In case of any infringements on Digital JV IP, the legal team will handle the process against the offenders.
