Times Group - IBCE Business Development Head (15-20 yrs)

Key responsibilities

- Partner with the Vertical Sales teams to market Ideas based on client imperatives. IBCE team works closely with multiple departments internally like senior management, Brand, Editorial etc. in bringing an idea to fruition. The role of IBCE is in selling of ideas to external stakeholders (sponsors), facilitate smooth execution of the ideas through interfacing with Clients and Operations team and the roll-out plan by the Operations team.


- The IBCE BD Lead would be responsible for the business targets set for IBCE; the lead along with his BD team is accountable in delivering value propositions to clients and setting new benchmarks in being able to sell unique, differentiated ideas that make clients- brands successful.

Key Relationship Management

- Meet high value clients and influential stakeholders at a local level on a periodic basis, develop rapport at senior levels in the client organizations, and offer value-added suggestions/ concepts/ ideas for better return on their advertising investments in order to become their preferred partners for new initiatives / events/ solutions.

Knowledge Transfer

- Check the feasibility of extending an existing property to other locations based on market understanding, market demand, availability of sponsorship and other financial and operational criteria; garner internal support, and coordinate the efforts of the Creative, BD and Operations teams to execute the programs in order to maximise the revenue impact of the idea, its visibility and amplification.

Education and Experience

- MBA from premier school, high on intellect - an absolute must

- Minimum 15-18 years of work experience

- Should have handled concept sales, revenue roles, with scale

- Should have handled large teams, multi locational

- Experience of working in matrix set ups

- Assertive, strong personality, drive for results

- Ideal candidate will have worked as Regional head for large businesses, or national sales head of smaller businesses with specific experience in concept selling and solutions- work
