Job Title: Senior Research and Financial Communications Analyst - M&A

Job Description:

We are looking for a Researcher and Financial Communications Analyst with a strong background in financial analysis and an ability to effectively develop communication for business leaders, analysts, investors, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive tracking of global M&A statistics as well as providing insightful analysis of relevant trends and developments in the field. This role is critical in building the knowledge base of M&A statistics which serves as a valuable resource for investors, regulators, and business leaders for strategic planning and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Analysis:

- Monitor global M&A transactions and developments, including deal announcements, regulatory approvals, and market reactions.

- Conduct comprehensive analysis of M&A activity in major industries and sectors, identifying key transactions, emerging trends, and market dynamics.

- Stay abreast of industry developments, market disruptions, and regulatory changes of significant interest to M&A professionals.

Insight Generation and Reporting:

- Analyze M&A trends on a global, regional, and industry specific basis, spotting trends and patterns, and providing meaningful insights on deal drivers, volumes, and valuation.

- Prepare reports for publication, summarizing key findings and providing insights useful for analysts, business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.

Industry Engagement and Stakeholder Communication:

- Help drive stakeholder engagement by proactively identifying topics and conversations of interest to the industry, and initiating thought leadership projects such as round table discussions, forums and webinars.

- Develop programs based on an understanding of audience/stakeholder perspectives. Conduct research/interviews and work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure that programs are aligned with overall business direction.

Qualifications:

- Background in equity research, and with financial communications/investor relations experience

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.

- Proven experience in financial research, analysis, or equity research within the financial services sector and gained from a global/multinational company. Experience in M&A research an advantage.

- Experience in investor relations, stakeholder engagement, or related functions, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative methods and data analysis tools.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for staying updated on industry developments and market trends.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with financial databases and research platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ).
