- Be an experienced contributor responsible for working within the project scope and timelines.

- Understand US legal writing.

- Interpret statutes and regulations accurately; and satisfactorily answer the team's questions and doubts.

- Follow step by step process of researching the issues and presenting the findings in the desired format.

- Interact with internal and external stakeholders.

- Understand overall client requirements to help develop project scope and drive internal discussions on - resource requirements and creation of project plans.

- Manage large teams of people.

- Follow up with subordinates on status of assignments.

- Resolve doubts of the team pertaining to work

- Ensure compliance with processes and controls of the team, drive the development of methods to improve processes and/or controls to ensure that these are efficient, effective and relevant.

- Be effective on the floor in terms of sharing learning/insights with peers/juniors/seniors.

- Resolve project specific issues effectively, and where necessary escalate the issues timely.

- Apply herself / himself to understanding the underlying issues of a project.

- Ensure process instructions are followed by the team consistently without failure.

- Ensure on time delivery on all client deliverables.

- Attend mandatory trainings and certification courses.

EXPERIENCE:

- Working with financial industry or having in-depth knowledge of financial concepts.

- Extensive project management and people management experience.

- Substantial experience in interacting with clients.

- Conducting trainings.

- Performing quality checks and audits.

- Desirable: Experience in regulatory compliance related work; and/ or prior experience/knowledge how the financial industry operates especially. Knowledge/ experience of reviewing regulations like FINRA, SEC, FCA, APRA etc.
