XAI has offices in Mumbai and New Delhi. Job Description : - Xander Advisors India is currently recruiting for the Assistant Manager position in the Fund Operations department. Candidates with experience of 3-5 years post qualification experience in audit/ accounting roles are invited. - The candidate should ideally be from Big 4 firm and should have successfully completed her Chartered Accountant final examinations. Location : Mumbai / Delhi Summary of required skills and experience : - Chartered Accountant having 3-5 years of post-qualification work experience - Good knowledge of accounting, reporting and tax matters - Strong knowledge of MS Excel including advanced functions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Good analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership of tasks/ processes assigned - Team player with good inter-personal skills and ability to work directly with senior members of the investment team Tasks associated with the role : Investor Reporting / Accounting &amp; Finance : a. Preparation of quarterly report for investors comprising Fund track record, portfolio update and financial statements. b. Preparation/ review of financial statements for Fund entities in accordance with US GAAP/ IFRS/ SGFRS on a quarterly basis c. Preparation of multi-currency accounts/ capital account balances d. Manage year end external audit and respond to all queries relating to significant financial statement captions (like investment valuation assumptions, management fee calculations, carried interest computation etc.) e. Preparing annual expense budgets for Funds and investment holding companies f. Quarterly MIS reporting including Partners Capital Account Balances, Investment Summary etc. Taxation : a. Filling Income Tax returns in all jurisdictions (Singapore, Mauritius and India). b. Assessing transfer pricing applicability to domestic/ international transactions and filing necessary transfer pricing returns c. Responding to queries/ assessment orders received from the relevant tax authorities in various jurisdictions d. Liaising with the tax authorities for obtaining no objection certificates for companies in liquidation. e. Application for Singapore tax incentive schemes for newly set up entities and the relevant GST remission claims submissions f. Application for COR g. Liaising with tax consultants for preparation and review of US-tax information due to U.S based investors including Schedule K-1s, year-end estimate etc. h. Application of PAN for offshore companies i. Determining tax efficient capital structures, methods of repatriation of funds to save tax of onshore entities. Ensuring compliance with LOB- s Deal Related : a. Monitoring quarter on quarter movement in Valuations of investments. Desktop review of valuation reports MIS of investee companies and reconciliations to equity valuations. b. Preparation of monthly and quarterly asset related reports (INREV/ Investor specific reports). Liaise with asset management team for quarterly data at the asset level. c. Deal Support in investment and divestment - corporate action, liaising with banks for transfer of money, opening of requisite custody/ bank accounts. d. Liaising with the investment / asset management team for MIS and other reporting of the investee companies. Other Operational Matters : a. Set up of FPI entities and including on-going compliance and provision of information requests from SEBI b. CRS &amp; FATCA filings c. Liaising with banks for account set-up, wire transfers, fee negotiation, compliance requirements, etc. d. Reconciling bank account statements, interest income schedules, interest on loan statements and cash flow management for fund and investment holding entities e. Review of Board Minutes for all corporate actions taken by the Funds and the Holding Companies. f.
