- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities (start-ups or new industry/ sector) by conducting due diligence and financial analysis to arrive at recommendations and facilitate investment decisions - Coordinating due diligence processes with external agencies - Monitoring of existing investments, company performance and developing support strategies as required - A major part of the role will involve the evaluation of existing and potential investment opportunities (leads from Director's Office or VC partners), including the assessment of the relevant markets, business models and the construction or refinement of a financial model to support the investment case - Design and evaluate key metrics to measure the financial returns on investments - Preparation of periodic reports on investments and highlighting key areas for discussion - Researching new sector/ sub-sector areas for investment consideration as desired by the Director and building out business plans, investment proposals and recommendations
