- Understand business problems across industries and functions, and translate those to analytical problems. - Lead the analytical solution designing, independently or by working with a small set of team members, to come up with an analytical solution that is statistically sound, and addresses the client problems. - Evaluate multiple statistical and machine learning techniques, and where needed, read academic white papers to ensure robustness and freshness of the analytical solution being proposed. - Identify the technology stack needed, both during POC and during operationalization, to ensure a scalable analytical solution. - Convey the solution design through a compelling visual narrative on PowerPoint, and take complete ownership of the proposal. - Discuss the solution, over phone or F2F, with various client stakeholders and support the sales team close the sale. - Own and build RFP's RFI- s, understand the client requirement and able to write extensive details as required in RFP's. - Ensure that the business development support material is kept current and that it conveys our value proposition and strong capabilities in the best possible manner. - Where required, double up as a hands-on project manager and work on client POCs or internal capability development sprints. Ideal Candidate : - At least 6 years of analytics experience with most of it involving analytical solution designing and execution a) Of this, at least 2-3 years of experience should be in hard core predictive modelling and/or machine learning b) At least 2-3 years of experience working on proposals / RFPs - Strong understanding of business in general and in-depth understanding of the marketing, CRM, and Pricing functions. - Ability to look at the big picture and how the analytics proposal fits in the overall strategy. - Strong ability to convey the solution through a compelling story. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the comfort and confidence of dealing with VP+ level executives in the US and Europe. - Working knowledge of R, Python and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Pig/Hive, etc. is desirable
