Special Skills/Attributes (required for performing the job effectively) - Knowledge of Accounting Standards and Systems - Knowledge of both Direct &amp; Indirect Tax Management &amp; Statutory/ Regulatory Compliance Management - Budgetary Control &amp; Cost Optimization techniques (including Funds &amp; Cash Flow Management) - Knowledge of ERP, Tally and Software Packages Overall Purpose/ObjectiveOf the job: Responsible for quarterly audits, yearly finalization of accounts, various statutory compliances related to direct &amp; Indirect taxation, various functional MIS etc for SPV's under their charge. Key Responsibilities: Strategic-&nbsp; - Update &amp; keep updated the Senior Management on the latest Accounting Standards / financial laws (Corporate law, both Direct &amp; Indirect taxation rules, RBI requirements etc.,) and its impact on the functional operations and provide critical inputs to them for decision making Operational- Internal Control and Corporate Governance - Ensure timeliness and accuracy of accounting for respective projects/ SPVs in compliance with applicable Accounting / Taxation Standards as well as internally framed SOPs/ policies / norms as defined by Senior Management, so as to comply with transparency &amp; Corporate Governance requirements. - Ensure adherence to various critical statutory compliances as well as maintain robust updated documentation of financial information. - Maintaining Books of Accounts - Maintain proper books of accounts for each SPV/ project including Trial Balance, Profit &amp; Loss statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Annexure to the Balance Sheet and Notes to Accounts and forward the same to GM - F&amp;A for review. - Responsible for Console and Standalone finalization &amp; audit of accounts, quarterly &amp; yearly basis, for respective projects by ensuring all necessary closing procedures are completed including timely &amp; correct accounting / provisioning of expenses, prepaid expenses, depreciation on fixed assets, write-off of receivables, write-back various unclaimed expenses, proper classification of assets &amp; laibilities etc. - Coordinate with various functional departments, both at HO &amp; Mall level, for all activities required for the publishing of financial statements for the various SPV's. Accounts Payable- - Responsible for timely processing of vendor/ contractor/ supplier/ architect bills for respective projects ensuring all functional procedures are adhered - Checking accuracy /proper accounting of all entries related to payables. Also ensure that proper documents are duly attached (copy of WO / PO, GRNs / delivery challans drawings, measurement sheets, etc.). Also ensure recovery of advances, service tax,, TDS, labour related compliances etc before forwarding the same to functional seniors for approval &amp; payments. - Ensure proper accounting of overhead costs; site related expenses; other common costs, viz payroll, administration, Legal expenses, IT, selling &amp; marketing expenses, corporate costs etc to various SPV's. - Ensure proper classification of costs / expenses between various business models within a SPV &amp; also allocation of identified costs to Mall / Residential operations. Tax Compliances - - Ensure timely payment of various taxes/ processing and submission of tax audit reports / returns / challans under various statutes (TDS, GST, Service Tax, VAT, WCT, etc.) for respective projects/ SPVs. Also advise on advance tax payments, wherever applicable. - Review the returns / challans as per the prescribed format (verify TDS calculations, GST credit, period of tax filing, etc.) and submit the same to tax authorities within the due date post approval from the GM - Finance &amp; Accounts. - Ensure from a monitoring perspective that updated tracker is received from various consultants. - Liaise with external tax consultants and tax authorities to ensure compliance with all tax related aspects. Audit- - Responsible for coordinating with the CA firms for statutory and internal audits &amp; ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards/ policies. - Ensure adherence to the defined Audit Plan (for internal and statutory audits) for respective projects/ SPVs &amp; also ensure that replies to audit reports are given within set timelines. - Ensure that all audit findings are communicated to the Senior Management &amp; track compliance. MIS/ Reporting- - Review various monthly MIS sent by their reportees &amp; escalate matters that are critical to the functioning of various entities. - Review budgeted costs with actual with the respective Finance team at quarterly intervals &amp; provide inputs / status updates on the functional activities for respective projects to them. - Provide report on funds position / investments etc at regular intervals. Other General Responsibilities- - Develop and leverage relationships with Banks, Financial Institutions, Consultants, Investors, as well as liaise with legislative/ statutory bodies (GST, service tax, excise, customs duty etc.) for all compliance requirements and to create and maintain cordial relations - Ensure correct and timely bank and cash reconciliation including verification of bank charges and interests for respective projects - Monitor the activities carried out by functional executives and ensure correctness of all routine operations (passing of payment entries, book interest, documentation and recording, etc.) - Assist the functional seniors for the smooth transition of Accounting Standards, Direct &amp; Indirect Taxation laws &amp; rules etc. People- - Monitor team performance &amp; provide direction, guidance and support to team.
