Job Title: AGM - Finance (Project Finance Controller) Department / Division: Finance & Accounts Position reports to - GM/VP / CFO/ Director (Finance) External Interface: (Enlist external agencies/authorities that you are required to deal with while discharging your duty) - Investors - Banks/ Financial Institutions - Vendors/Service Providers - Consultants (incl Debt Syndication) - Rating Agencies - Property Valuers & Lawyers Minimum Qualification: (i.e education, training etc.) - MBA (Finance) / CA Minimum Experience - Around 8-10 years of industry experience with commercial exposure and experienced in similar role Special Skills/Attributes: (required for performing the job effectively) - Knowledge of RBI regulations/Regulatory framework - Understanding of Financial Risk Management framework - Budgetary Control & Cost Optimization techniques (including Funds & Cash Flow Management) - Statutory/ Regulatory Compliance Management Overall Purpose/Objective Of the job: Lead various activities to support the Head-Projects / VP-Project in sound financial management of the project, thereby ensuring commercial feasibility, smooth progress and timely completion of the project Key Responsibilities: - Assist in monitoring compliance with set accounting and reporting standards as well as internal control systems defined by CFO and GM - Accounts & Finance - Develop and drive effective Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs) to ensure process quality and efficiency - Prepare business models and financials analysis for assessing the viability of the project proposal and provide inputs to the GM/VP / CFO/ Director (Finance) - Coordinate with the QS team / Project Team the preparation of the Project Budget and provide inputs to the CFO/Management in finalizing the same - Monitor the budget spending of each Cost head for respective project on a regular basis by analyzing the planned Vs. actual spend and escalating any significant variance to the CFO/ Project Head - Provide inputs to the Project team for post order coordination wrt performance guarantees from vendors, Letter of Credit (LC) negotiation, shipping documentations, contract disputes etc - Ensure commercial closure of the contract post completion of project (ensure all deliverables under the contract are received as per the contract) - Develop & maintain relationship with banks / financial institutions for debt syndication, terms for loans and also with project partners / regulatory authorities, investors (current / prospective), - Manage the funding raising activities provided by the Banks/ lenders and ensure speedy documentation - Ensure coordination with the corporate Accounts Payable team for timely bill passing and accurate payment for key vendors / crucial bills for the project - Ensure correct and timely recording of tax liability and provisions for accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders - Prepare and present cash flow statements and funds position statement for respective projects/ SPVs to the Board/ Senior Management - Ensure that all audit findings are communicated to the Senior Management in line with the defined reporting norms, and are appropriately responded to / acted upon as required - Negotiating & finalizing with the Lawyers / Financial Institutions various terms & conditions for loan & other related agreements - Making Presentaion for Bankers / Board Meeting etc. - Developing and Maintaining relationship with Banks and managing the day to day compliances of Bank & cash flow management of the Project.
