ROLE SUMMARY :


- We are seeking a strong candidate with considerable expertise in Retail Banking to fill a Knowledge Expert, Team Manager position in BCG's Financial Institutions Knowledge Team.


- The position will be based in our CKA-India (Gurgaon) office. The candidate will develop the Retail Banking affiliation of local knowledge specialists across teams, contribute and further develop our global BCG Retail Banking Content Map, work with and support our consulting teams and clients by providing expertise in case situations. The Knowledge Expert will interact with international teams and use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, analyze, synthesize, package and deliver information to consulting teams and clients.

- She/he will be working closely with other (Senior) Knowledge Experts from the practice to align on priorities between regions and topics, both within Retail Banking as well as across FI (and with affiliated PAs where needed). The KE will be the line manager for a team of knowledgeable specialists in the Gurgaon office and the broader APAC region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage KT teams

- Function as a line manager for a team of Knowledge Specialists (Analysts and Experts) of different seniority, with different areas of expertise in the Gurgaon office and across markets in APAC

- Creates team affiliation across regions (including RDE teams in APAC like India, China, SEA) and facilitates exchange and knowledge sharing across local markets

- Plays an active role in recruitment according to business needs

- Designs on-boarding schedule, provides coaching for junior KT staff, supports the team in getting into a business through direct apprenticeship and managing with local consulting team/lead partners in the respective systems and ensures minimum levels of billability for the team

- Drives goal setting, performance evaluation, career track, and long-term professional development for the team members

Work with consulting teams

- Inserts oneself into business; acts as a thought partner, establish credibility with consulting teams, and provides problem-solving and topic insights

- Applies expert knowledge to satisfy complex client demands (both internally to consulting teams as well as externally to clients directly)

- Lead role in selling process to clients through expertise

- Shares fresh and commercially relevant topic/sector expertise with case teams to support client work

- Writes large portions of proposal/selling documents

- Assists others in navigating the knowledge network by connecting them with articles, materials, BCG perspectives, and people

Work with topic/sector teams

- Contributes to update and fine-tune the existing Retail Banking knowledge base and data assets, in close link with the Retail Banking Knowledge & Data lead partner

- Connects with global RB team to look at industrializing local efforts together with the other Retail Banking KT team managers in Europe and NAMR

- Provides institutionalized knowledge

- Develops content for go-to-market materials and supports marketing and SATT initiatives in partnership with Retail Banking regional leads

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Masters degree with high academic achievements required in business administration, economics, finance or any other relevant subject with the strong analytical focus

- Relevant Industry experience of 9+ years or consulting experience related to Retail Banking

- Experience of managing team a team of experts

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
