TechnoServe - Agricultural Program Management Role (10-15 yrs)

The person will be responsible for anchoring the below for the program:

- Directly responsible for operational management of the program with selected FPOs in the selected districts of the state. Anchor key interactions with the FPC board, management and Community Leaders to increase business, business planning, community mobilization

- Prepare, in coordination with key project staff, strategic operational plans with clear objectives and achievement benchmarks, long-term and short-term priorities, implementation plans

- Lead the development of business models and plans to enable FPOs to access finance through various financial institutions

- Support the program in anchoring important discussions with market players; Input dealers, Commodity buyers, Financial Institutions, Government officials etc

- Represent TechnoServe at the state-level, managing external relations with key stakeholders

- Work with the monitoring team to ensure a robust mechanism is in place to measure the participation and benefits

- Consolidating and reporting key program data, field level intelligence, oversight to admin activities

- Handle people management responsibilities including coaching and guiding team members, work on their goal plans and continuous development, conduct periodic and annual reviews

- Provide technical & program management support to senior management in field monitoring visits, supervision of training activities and curriculum design, community mobilization efforts, convergence with government schemes, execution of sub-projects etc,

- Any other project activity as the need arises or advised by project leadership team

Requirements :

- Minimum of 10-15 years of hands-on experience in working with livelihoods, agri-business or entrepreneurship promotion field preferably with FPOs and market linkages. Exposure to working with / supporting farmer producer companies is preferred

- Demonstrated capability to manage large implementation projects and successful management of client

- Demonstrated experience in successful development of business models and plans for smallholder farmers and SMEs and support to launch of entrepreneurial ventures

- Demonstrated ability to independently create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders

- Prior experience in contributing to a multidimensional team with exposure to market and value chain analysis

- Strong analytical abilities (both quantitative and qualitative) and report-writing skills

- Sound knowledge M/S Word/ Excel/ PPT

Qualification: MBA/Masters in Rural Development or related fields
