Reason for hire: - They are expanding the Strategic Planning & Performance function and seek to hire a Technology Manager with consulting / project management experience to join the team in India. S/He will be responsible for implementing large scale technology programmes across the organization's programmes and interventions. This will include rolling out educational software on tablets and the digitization of the educational content. They will report into the Director, Strategic Planning & Performance. Roles & Responsibilities: - The Technology Manager plays a critical role in designing and realizing the technology strategy. They are responsible for the successful implementation of large-scale technology projects across multiple programmes and interventions. S/he will manage the relationships with technology suppliers and work closely with the staff to deliver the programmes on time and to a high standard. Programmes will range from implementing educational software on tablets within remote schools, to designing and implementing the large-scale roll out of digitized educational content on an online platform. Must Haves - - Minimum 7 years of professional working experience of which at least 5 years have been in leading the design and delivery of technical projects - Proven experience in implementing technical programmes including planning, monitoring, reporting and budget management - Hand on foundational project management skills and experience delivering technology projects - High level Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills - Tech Savvy and confident using online platforms, apps and different types of hardware - Experience in managing the delivery of projects using an agile methodology, e.g. SCRUM - Able to pick up new concepts quickly and support Education and Community experts in building and operationalising their ideas using technology Highly Desirable: - Experience in working a multi-cultural environment Business consulting background Note: The roles and responsibilities outlined above are not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks.
