Technology Director - Auto - IIM/IIT

Key Role and Responsibilities

- Serves as the company's top technology infrastructure manager

- Runs the organization's internal IT operations

- Works to streamline business processes with technology

- Focuses on internal customers (users and business units)

- Collaborates and manages vendors that supply infrastructure solutions

- Aligns the company's IT infrastructure with business priorities

- Developers strategies to increase the company's bottom line (profitability)

- Leading strategic, Planning, operational & functional pursuits

- Deep technology experience and understanding of underlying platforms, architectures, etc.

- Ability to interact with top management of the company to help define and execute the technology led vision

- Develop and manage high quality technical team from scratch

- Provide visible leadership for the company within the technology community

- Should have deep expertise in creating data models, building connectors to external data sources, some expertise in natural language processing and passion for design and usability.

- Should have understanding of the various cloud platforms and also expertise in integrating applications to existing enterprise architecture

- Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them for product development and company operations

- Establish a governance process that meets government, partner, and company expectations for customer information privacy

- Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps

- Exposure to business theory, business process development, governance processes, management, budgeting, and administrative operations.

- Identify opportunities and potential risks for growth

- Identify technology trends and evolving social trends that may support or impede the business

- Evaluate potential technology platforms for delivering our services

- Own end-to-end the delivery, performance, code quality and technical operations.

- Design and build extremely reliable, scalable and high performing enterprise systems.

- Work with cross functional teams (Product Management, Business Development, Operations etc) and always ensure the right prioritization based on business impact.

Position Requirements:

Education & Certification:

- University degree in the field of computer science, business administration, or another rigorous discipline. An advanced degree in one these fields is a added advantage.

Knowledge & Experience:

- Demonstrated ability to envision web-based services that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.

- 10 years of experience in managing web application development.

- Familiar with scale SaaS and analytics product

- Familiar with more than one software development methodology.

- Ability to discern user requirements and develop specifications.

- Has contributed to one or more open source projects.

- Skill with CSS, XHTML, one or more JavaScript frameworks, and AJAX.

- Knowledge of web standards.

- Experience with UNIX system administration and web server configuration.

Education - BE/MS/M.Tech/MCA From IIT/IIM and Top Colleges
