II. Job Duties/ Responsibilities

% of Time Essential/Non-Essential Activity

40% - Department administration

- Accountable for the delivery and quality of the supported systems

- Drives continuous improvement programs across an area of responsibility

- Applies to mentor and coaching skills to motivate and guide employee development and encourages employees to stretch and expand their capabilities

- Manages staff including coaching, employee administration, hiring, and disciplinary actions

- Advises staff to meet deliverables and/or assists with the resolution of problems

- Provide regular feedback

- Write an annual performance review and performance achievement plan

- Perform other duties as requested by managers

- Maintain good working relationships with project team members, internal customers, and external service vendors

- Participate in departmental planning and project prioritization as applicable

35 % - Project planning and management :

- Develop, maintain/manage project plans

- Plan, create, and review project proposals, project plans, resources and cost-benefit analyses

- Manage multi-departmental, multi-site projects varying in size, scale and complexity

- Guide and coach project team members to assure timely completion of project tasks

- Evaluate success of enhancements, upgrades, or implementation and determine follow up actions if necessary to assure timely completion of project tasks

- 25 %- System enhancement and implementation

- Gather, document, analyze, and review business/system requirements from business owners and subject matter experts evaluate/propose/design/acquire systems and applications for meeting business requirements

- Recommend solutions to business and system problems

- Review data analysis for system conversions

- Review functional and report specifications for systems, applications and other deliverables

- Coordinate/communicate system deliverable needs to Project Managers and/or Systems Administrators

- Coordinate user acceptance testing for new systems and/or enhancements for existing systems

- Maintain and review testing documentation for audit trail and reference for future projects

- Track and ensure resolution of issues with users and project team

III. Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

- College degree in business and/or information technology related fields

- Graduate/Post Graduate business degree (MBA or MS degree preferred)

- 12 or more years of functional experience preferably in PeopleSoft financials or related finance experience with increasing levels of responsibility

- At least 4 or more years of supervisory experience, preferably in a finance environment

- Two years experience in project related work including:

- Managing documentation, workflow improvement, finance, and/or information technology projects

- Business analysis for finance and/or information technology projects

- Systems analysis, development, and conversion

- Securities, financial services, or accounting industry

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :

- Any PeopleSoft Functional Module certifications will be preferred

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :

- Financial or mutual fund industry specific knowledge

- Experience with project management theories, methodologies and software tools

- Experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger in a multi-currency environment

- Experience with any of the PeopleSoft Financials modules

- Experience with Business reporting tools - nVision, OBIEE and BI Publisher

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

- Ability to hear and speak to employee and outside business associates on the phone and in person.

- Ability to sit in one place for extended periods of time.

- Requires regular right and left-hand coordination for use of the personal computer

- Ability to articulate information to both internal and external customers in a manner that is clear and easily understood.

- Ability to see letter and numbers on a personal computer screen and on memos, reports and other documents.

- Ability to maintain a professional image.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY :

- Administratively supervise system analysts and/or staff

- Assist in business planning/budgeting and monitoring of expenses

- Makes hire, termination, promotion and compensation recommendations.

- Write or review annual performance reviews and performance achievement plans for all group members

- Applies mentoring and coaching skills to motivate and guide employee development and encourages employees to stretch and expand their capabilities

- Ability to drive for superior results

- Ability to manage change and adapt to a quickly changing environment

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :

- Travel may be required to international FTI locations for projects and/or trainings.
