Technical Product Manager - General Insurance Firm (5-10 yrs)

Our client is a leading General Insurance company in India. They are looking to hire a Technical Product Manager in their digital setup.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for owning the Digital Ecosystem Product that is leveraged for all integrations, launches across the digital start up space. The platform is built working together with the biggest digital players in the country and currently handles over 500 policies every second.

- Develop a strategic plan and roadmap on how to embed Digital's solutions into the daily business, product offerings and operations of digital's clients and partners through API and integration.

- Help develop an integrations marketplace, where clients and partners can leverage pre-built connections in a future client site.

- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, evaluate, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth

- Represent the customer in all things. Be the champion and voice of customers. Bring the customer's voice into everything you do.

- Seamlessly closes the communication gap with engineers' and cross functional teams such as sales, marketing and ultimately the customer.

- Drives innovation through an understanding and experience with tech trends, SaaS, API frameworks, standard data protocols, Mobile frameworks , SSO, API gateways, Data Lifecycle Management and AWS.

- Define API products and integrations, and proactively identify and address strategic issues that might impede the product roadmap

- Drive data-driven clarity to how customers and partners use existing API products, and develop defensible positions on modernization and lifecycle management

- Drive go-to-market approaches and adoption of API and integration products

- Work with Architect to specify design, performance that all contributing teams need to adhere to including core shared functions like authentication, rate limiting, logging

- Distinguish between the platform's core interaction and its enablers and qualify how the API/service delivers value from a product perspective .

- Establish a process for adding and certifying new API endpoints

- Prioritize the most impactful integrations functionality

- Drive usage and adoption across our customer base

- Have a 'Platform first' or 'API first' kind of point of view. Educate and champion APIs with internal and external customers .

- Work with technical writing, engineering to define information architecture and documentation as it relates to API build

- Manage, prepare, and respond to audit and regulatory inquires on a timely basis

- Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams that have product questions, feature requests, and other product related needs related to API, SSO and RFPs

- Is grounded with technical leadership skills in order to improve prioritization and planning

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of commercial product development or technical professional services experience, including 3 years in product management working on agile web or mobile products or services.

- Experienced Scrum Product Owner or Technical Product Manager, working with Agile Delivery Teams, utilizing Agile / Scrum / Kanban.

- You have a deep understanding of web service technologies, user interface/interaction, batch systems, and knowledge of systems development and project management life cycles

- Leadership DNA - proven ability to set a product vision, excite, and lead a crossfunctional team to execute

- Creative and analytical thinker who thrives on solving challenging problems

- Understanding of business strategy and metrics

- Obsessively customer-driven with strong customer discovery and problem validation skills

- Demonstrated ability to influence as well as collaborate and negotiate with key stakeholders and executives

- Experience with reporting and analyzing key metrics and incorporating them into decision- making processes

- Experience using Jira or similar ticketing system to manage product backlogs

- Exposure to or familiarity with an Agile or Scrum based methodology

- Highly effective communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

- You are self-motivated and able to take ownership of a project from start to finish
