Technical Director - India

- The Technical Director in India leads Professional Services team of Technical Architects, Developers and Quality Assurance staff in India. The Technical Director is a key member of the Professional Services leadership team. Will be reporting to Head of Professional Services based in US.

- This role is directly accountable for driving consistent and repeatable development practices, ensuring the professional growth and development of the technical team, working with Professional Services leadership on hiring, staffing plans and organizational strategy and alignment with key partners & constituents to ensure that Technical Delivery supports key product and platform initiatives.

- Oversee the technical delivery team for India, managing a large staff of Technical Architects, Developers and QA personnel (present team size is 26 people, will be 35 to 40 people by the end of year).

- Advocate for your team by promoting successes and innovations, creating professional development opportunities, managing escalations and supporting team morale.

- Collaborate with the global team to drive organisational goals and implement standards for delivery.

- In collaboration with the head of delivery, oversee technical delivery of projects and manage personnel escalations within the region.

- Support professional services related sales activities and partner relationships.

Job Requirements :

- Engineer (BE or B.Tech) with 14+ years of total experience with more than 7+ years of technical consulting experience in either a digital agency, product company or management consulting firm.

- More than 5+ years of experience in managing teams and direct reports.

- Prior estimation experience for professional services.

- Deep understanding of CMS (content management system) application architecture and implementation processes.

- Experience managing a team running a broad suite of languages and technologies and the integrations between them.

- Drupal expertise and open source experience preferred, but not required.

Good to have :

- Experience with Drupal or other CMS technologies, such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Documentum, Wordpress.

- Familiarity with front end frameworks such as Angular or Ember.

- Experience leading web application development teams using frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, Node.js, or Django.

- Experience leading application architectures that include the creation and consumption of web service APIs and integrations with third party systems
