Technical Architect - Java/J2EE Frameworks - BFSI

Skills Required :

- 3+ years of solution architecture and technical lead experience

- 5+ years of strong software development experience of designing and coding on enterprise web-based systems

- Objected Oriented Design, Data modeling skills using UML

- Does not hesitate to put ideas or design on paper via logical diagrams, tables, flowcharts, physical network diagrams, etc

- Highly proficient skills of Java 7/8; J2EE; REST / SOAP; Spring / MVC; Hibernate / JPA; AMQ

- Proficient in JavaScript frameworks such as Meteor, Node JS, or similar

- Relational Database experience (any of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ability to write SQL

- Must have Kafka specific experience in the range of 1-2 years in hands-on development of data streaming services in Kafka Streams, (Confluent), including :

a. Experience in developing topics, producers, and consumers in Kafka

b. Experience in developing data transformation pipelines using Kafka Streams

c. Experience in reading data from Kafka using kSQLDB (desirable)

- Must have Kafka specific experience in the range of 1-2 years with developing source and sink connectors with Kafka Connect and Kafka Schema Registry, including :

a. Experience in developing file, API, and database connectors

b. Experience in managing schema compliance with Schema Registry

c. Experienced with data streaming standards and design patterns as well as industry use-cases

- Knowledge of Confluent's product roadmap for Kafka, and how this affects development design decisions

- Design, develop and manage automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests for all Kafka components (experience with JUnit frameworks is highly desirable)

- Ability to work with Service Oriented Architecture and design of RESTful services

- Working knowledge of XML and JSON structures

- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team

- Highly experienced in traditional waterfall methodology and or Agile/ SCRUM Delivery

- Knowledge of build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Gradle

- Unix shell scripting

- Experience in development or deployment on Linux, Mac OS operating systems

- Used version source control systems such as Git, SVN, or CVS

Job Responsibilities :

- Lead design and development of software systems

- Demonstrate good client engagement skills

- Plan build or development tasks by confirming objectives and specifications with the relevant stakeholders

- Ensure focus on Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) with special emphasis on code quality and unit testing

- Split requirement into manageable development features or modules for the teams

- Identify functional and non-functional constraints of the system and designs optimal solutions

- Debug or troubleshoot coding bugs and provides fixes for the same

- Communicate issues in development to reporting manager promptly

- Participate in application profile and performance benchmarking activities

- Bring in industry best practices to all facets of software design and delivery process
