This role focuses on promoting our Gabion wall and Rockfall Protection business within the Northern Region.


About the Job:


As the Manager Sales & Business Development for the Northern Region, you will be instrumental in expanding Techfab India's presence and market share in the Gabion wall and Rockfall Protection sectors. Your primary focus will be on cultivating strong relationships with key government agencies, including NHIDCL, NHAI, MoRTH, BRO, and CPWD, as well as collaborating with DPR consultants.


Based out of the Northeast region, you will be responsible for identifying new project opportunities, ensuring Techfab's specifications are included in upcoming tenders, and facilitating technical presentations and site visits. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and networking skills, coupled with a strong understanding of the infrastructure development landscape in the Northern Region. Extensive travel within the region is a key aspect of this position.


Job Responsibilities:


Government Liaison:


- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and technical personnel within various government agencies such as NHIDCL, NHAI, MoRTH, BRO, CPWD, and other relevant departments in the Northern Region.


- Actively promote Techfab India's Gabion wall and Rockfall Protection solutions to these agencies.


- Track upcoming projects and proactively work towards incorporating Techfab's product specifications into prospective tenders and project designs.


- Stay updated on the policies, guidelines, and procurement processes of these agencies.


DPR Consultant Engagement:


- Establish and nurture relationships with Design and Project Report (DPR) consultants operating within the Northern Region.


- Proactively scout for new and upcoming infrastructure projects through these consultants.


- Educate consultants on the technical advantages and benefits of Techfab's Gabion wall and Rockfall Protection systems to ensure their specifications are included in project designs.


Business Development & Sales:


- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Northern Region for Gabion wall and Rockfall Protection solutions.


- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business unit.


- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the region.


- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients and stakeholders.


- Negotiate and close sales deals.


Technical Collaboration:


- Organize and coordinate technical presentations by Techfab's technical team to relevant agencies, consultants, and clients.


- Facilitate site visits for the technical team to showcase Techfab's solutions and project implementations.


- Act as a point of contact and facilitator between clients/agencies and Techfab's technical experts.


Market Intelligence:


- Gather and analyze market information, including competitor activities, industry trends, and potential project pipelines within the Northern Region.


- Provide regular reports and updates to the Head of Rockfall Protection Business on market developments and sales activities.


Reporting and Documentation:


- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and project opportunities.


- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.


Education Qualification:


- MBA in Marketing from a recognized institution.


Minimum Experience:


- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sales and business development, preferably within the infrastructure, construction materials, or geosynthetics industry.


- Prior experience in liaising with government agencies (NHIDCL, NHAI, MoRTH, BRO, CPWD) and DPR consultants is highly desirable.


Job Location:


Guwahati, Assam (Candidate should be based out of the Northeast region to effectively cover the Northern Region).
