Tech Mahindra - SEO Consultant

The SEO Specialist develops and implements effective search engine optimization strategies to drive consumers to the websites of assigned Tech Mahindra clients, with the goal of generating increased targeted web traffic and increased lead generation/conversions for our clients.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities :

- This position is responsible for using SEO strategies for continually improving traffic to websites based on an analysis of the competitive marketplace.

- The SEO Specialist develops, generates, and interprets periodic performance reports to perform ongoing site traffic analysis, monitor organic search placement, and evaluate the effectiveness of the overall SEO strategy.

Some of the operational activities :

- Keep low-quality content away from users and out of search engines.

- Detect site and server errors and troubleshoot them with the development team.

- Ensure dynamic pages are made search engine friendly

- Provide users with helpful related content by developing rules and logic for internal linking.

- Plan SEO-friendly migrations for sections of content, or sometimes, entire websites.

- Explain and evangelize SEO concepts throughout the company.

- Implement SEO best practices when revamping/ building a new website

- The SEO Specialist collaborates with and supports the account team in achieving the clients' strategic SEO goals. That support includes responding to internal or client facing issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Skills You Need :

You don't need to be a programmer or developer to succeed in this position, but having that kind of technical background is an advantage.

Technical :

- Google Search Console

- Microsoft Excel (Power Query and Power Pivot are a plus)

- HTML/XML/CSS/JavaScript/RegEx

- Screaming Frog

- Schema.org and Open Graph Markup

- Google's Quality Guidelines and Best Practices

- Familiarity with link building practices

- Familiarity with tools like SEO MOz, SEMRush, Majestic

Non-Technical :

- Great communicator
