JOB TITLE: Manager - Content Writing

DEPARTMENT: Programme Management Office



The purpose of this job role is to develop content and meet the copywriting requirements of the business. The writer is responsible for generating stand-alone copy, or text to balance visual concepts or original content, across many platforms, including:

- Managing the end-to-end external awards process for (GSA, ECCCSA, UKBA, etc). The process to include identification of awards to be applied, selection, identification of an appropriate story for the write up, end to end process coordination for the awards.

- Technical and knowledge-based collaterals like (case studies, white papers, productivity solutions)

- Marketing materials

- Websites, mobile apps, emails, social media, blogs, if any

- Articles, newsletters. dossiers

- Leader communications

- Internal Communication including emailers, campaigns, etc.


To effectively write & deliver content that meets stakeholder expectations within stringent timelines

Key Responsibilities:


- Interpret and adapt client briefs to creative briefs

- Good writing skills to draft communications including but not limited to leader messaging, newsletters, business presentations, event reports, internal communication, media, marketing communication, etc. Provide writing and editing support for all communication.

- Responsible for researching, conceptualizing, writing, proofreading and editing original content for all communication material

- Write content for communication - website content, solution briefs, testimonials, case studies, white paper writing

- Create innovative ideas for creative campaigns

- Conceptualise, write & present creative proposals & concepts

- End to end responsibility (concept to completion) of creating timely, accurate and effective communication. Responsible for accuracy and quality of communication delivered

- Responsible for ensuring the information on various communication material and media are accurate, relevant and current for the target audience

- Researches understand & articulate a thorough understanding of client's business

- Work closely with internal Brand and Communications functional specialists and vendors to brainstorm, recommend, brief team members/vendors, develop/review/supervise/execute effective media as needed

- Write for all forms of media including but not limited to interactive design, digital/online content, illustration, motion, print, and graphic design

- Be the brand custodian (adhere to and advocate the correct use of the TechM, TechMBS and client brand & tonality guidelines)

- Adhere to brand and communication guidelines and SOPs. Maintain joblists & documentation for audit purpose

- Proofread communications leaving the creative team


- Maintains effective communication with all relevant internal and external contacts

- Keep abreast of both competitor creative work and market developments in areas of interest to client accounts

- Proven ability to sell creative concepts to client


Functional Skills and Competencies:

- Knowledge of communication and upcoming media trends

- Familiarity with tools and applications used for communication dissemination

- Ability to distill technical / business ideas into simple and easy-to-understand messaging through stellar storytelling. The art of storytelling is a must.

- Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into copy

- Experience in writing strong, succinct copy that is grammatically correct

- A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of clients

- The ability to meet deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment

- Great organizational skills

- An eye for detail and a desire for perfection

- Strong research skills that ensure all copy is correct and accurate

- A passion for writing and the willingness to learn from other creative professionals

- Knowledge of industry best practices in the area of business communications

- Capable of juggling multiple projects, sticking to deadlines and ensuring high-quality error-free output

- Knowledge of the Brand Strategy and its Implications

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Power Point and Word.

- Ability to quickly grasp the client's business and organization in order to effectively articulate the requirement and build content

- Ability to articulate effectively while creating content and version control documents

Experience - Minimum of 10 years of experience of which, at least 6 years should have been in writing marketing content
