Job Description : Product Costing &amp; Profitability Analysis : - Workout the product cost of commercial SKUs and ensure the accuracy, compare it with target and provide the reason of variance. Analysis of cost variance due to various factors like usage variance, change in procurement prices / production process / BoM etc. - Identify the potential areas of cost improvement and help respective teams to initiate CIPs. - Partner with R&amp;D team to work out the best cost estimates of pipeline products with limited available data and ensure the optimum process lock with sustainable cost. - Country &amp; Region wise cost and profitability analysis. Reconciliation of throughput &amp; gross margin with budget and provide the reason of variance to management. Inventory Valuation &amp; Management : for Both Own &amp; LL facility - Ensure the correct inventory valuation, identify the reason of value distortion if any and take necessary action. - Analyse product and category (RM PM SFG FG) wise inventory and its ageing in order to ensure : - Inventory norms are met to improve working capital. - Providing inputs to respective team on the slow moving, near expiry materials etc. so that teams can work out the liquidation plan and CoPE can be avoided. - Follow up with respective team on agreed action and ensure the execution. - Ensure no gaps between physical vs system inventory and system hygiene. - Review the rolling 12 months expenses &amp; technical details like machine hour, identify the exceptions &amp; workout the facility wise overhead activity rates. Ensure rates are uploaded in SAP with 100% accuracy within timelines. Monthly Financial Closing : - Ensure all material movements are accounted to enable central team to execute the actual costing run. - Review and accounting of Material Provisions - R&amp;D and Non R&amp;D such as Slow Moving, Quality Issues, NRV, Blocked etc. in order to ensure the accounting as per company policy. - Ensure the GST liability on inventory provision &amp; movement accounted properly. - Review of Shop Floor Stock, Stock in Transit, Stock in order to ensure that there are no long pending items; accounting of pending GRNs. - Validation of LMC vs TMC. Completion of cost push to frontend in BPC within given timelines. Monthly &amp; Quarterly MIS : - Prepare various monthly MIS on Yield, Inventory, SKU wise CoGS &amp; TPT, Plant utilization, procurement efficiency report, CoPE &amp; Probable CoPE report etc. - Prepare various quarterly reports like Inventory AR, Gross Margin AR, Overhead AR &amp; Inventory Notes to Accounts etc. to ensure the in-sight full data generation in order to facilitate various cross functional team for better decision making. - Provide inputs for finance slides/presentations for various forums like PO Apex, CPO SC, S&amp;OP, BMC, cQRM etc. Audit and Compliance : - Handle Cost Audit independently. Ensure the compliance to cost accounting record and rule requirements as prescribed by the statute; ensure the successful completion of all activities related to Cost Audit. - Conduct quarterly Stock Audit for both own &amp; LL facility and ensure the successful completion. Discuss the variance with respective team, workout the route cause and ensure corrective measures have been taken. - Support in Statutory / Internal / SOX Audit with proper explanation and documentation. Ensure the completion and quality of relevant documentation ( SOX, SOP, etc.) - Independent process audit to ensure zero control lapse. Budget &amp; LE : - Interact with cross functional team like production, Quality, SCM etc.. to get the details like BOM, procurement rates &amp; sample cost etc. - Workout the budget cost based on the sales projection with proper indirect cost allocations. - Analysis of budget cost, capacity utilization and product profitability. - Ensure the BPC activity completion with 100% accuracy within given timelines. - Ensure LE variable cost reporting every month with 100% accuracy and minimum gap with actuals. Business Partnering : - Facilitate the right support to business teams in terms of costing requirements; guide and support them in decision making in the areas of pricing, outsourcing; guide and facilitate automation efforts. - Facilitate development team with the cost of future products to support for selection of best available process and strategy team to support long term strategies. - Ensure the generation of relevant and useful analytics in the areas of inventory and costing to identify the gaps; facilitate corrective actions at the time of review meetings with cross functional team like production SCM etc. - Participate in monthly PO Apex &amp; S&amp;OP meetings and highlight the area of concern to bring improvement. - Ensure adequate Finance Support to Operational Excellence team. Partner with the teams in identifying the possible improvement / Savings opportunities thereby improving the Productivity of operations. Identify the cost reduction opportuinities and initiate for execution. - Identify the area of automation and lead the execution.
