Team Manager - Equities Deal Review - BFSI

The Equities Deal Review team are a key control function for derivatives businesses. Due to the complex nature of Equity Derivative transactions, there exists an inherent risk of risk bookings not matching trade documentation. Deal Review mitigate this risk by reviewing trade documentation (termsheets and legal documents) against bookings in the Risk Management System (RMS). The team liaise with Sales and Trading for improving the product representation in risk management systems. Review includes evaluating product suitability, core economics, dates, payoff calculation across booking and documentation. In addition, Team provide subject matter expertise to desk and Operations on complex derivative structures.

Team manager role will involve but not be limited to the following activities :

- Manage a team of 4-6 individuals in the delivery of high quality, low to no error rates and timely review of equity derivative trades

- Own and deliver on efficiency initiatives; direct responsibility for year end efficiency saves

- Continuous improvement of processes and ensuring robust risk management across functions

- Ability to cope with and thrive in a fast paced environment involving active prioritization and low thresholds for errors

- Ability to dive into the detail and perform RCA / BAU where the situation demands

- Ability to communicate effectively with a global audience and influence for results

- Self driven / motivated individual with the ability to operate and achieve team / business objectives with limited or no supervision

- Strong understanding of equity derivatives and related risks; ability to hold conversations with various groups including front office teams on complex issues
