Accounts Payable - Team Leader (US Accounting)


Job Summary :


- We are looking for a Team Leader for our accounting department to look after payment transactions and financial commitments in a fast-paced environment company.


- You will be responsible for the overall Procurement-to-Pay process that involves maintaining ledgers, overseeing tax-related processes, maintaining spreadsheets and databases of valuable information, and upholding the company's policies and image with vendors, therefore contributing to the growth of the department.

- Exposure to the field of accounting and its various responsibilities.

Accounts Payables:

- Manages and supervises the accounts payable department and staff in the organization.

- Manages functions like maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting.

- Ensures that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.

- Ensures that the accounts payable and the company's financial obligations are met efficiently.

- Handle book closure efficiently and adhere to the prescribed timeliness and accuracy.

- Oversee all payment transactions such as NEFT, RTGS, ACH, wires, Credit cards, and so on.

- Keep track of the company's financial expenditures, maintain a database, and provide reports as and when requested by supervisors.

- Will be in charge of data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices like general overhead, subcontractor, and employee travel reimbursements

- Keeps track of the status of all transactions taking place within the company and external vendors and contractors.

- Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the company.

Compliances:

- Handle statutory compliances (both Direct and Indirect) which will cover Liaising with tax authorities and govt bodies, and/or external consultants, filing of returns, payment, litigation etc.

- Working Knowledge on taxation such as GST, TDS, PF & PT

- Knowledge on secretarial Compliances for the Company, including the Companies Act, FEMA, Shops & Establishment, etc.

- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual filings under all these compliances are filed within prescribed due dates

- Oversees all tax-related processes, like the 1099 tax information.

Reporting and other tasks :

- Month close reporting of all costs, review product-wise cost calculations

- Assisting for monthly MIS, variance analysis, drive monthly Balance Sheet closing activities.

- Identifying the processes and internal controls gaps to improve financial control and accounting quality, related to financial operations, and cost items. And assist with process implementations, preparation, and adherence to key control activities.

- Manage cash flow planning, Banking, and Treasury operations including liaison with bankers.

- Supervise and monitor the work of the accounting team and ensure the work as per agreed TAT and quality.

- Automation in the accounts payable function and improve the process roadmap.

Requirements:

- CA-Inter/MBA with 5+ yrs of Post qualification experience (or 7-8 yrs including articleship experience)

- Prior Start-up experience (and specifically B2B SaaS) is added advantage

- India GAAP and Compliances knowledge

- Hands-on experience with NetSuite is mandatory.

- Efficient with Microsoft Office and general technical savviness.

- Strong analytic, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
