Team Lead - Specialized Analytics - BFSI (10-15 yrs)

The Specialized Analytics Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s).

Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services.

May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

- Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies

- Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes

- Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques

- Incumbents in this role may often be referred to as Data Scientists

Specialization in marketing, risk, digital and AML fields possible

- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience

- Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences required

- Problem solving, root cause analysis skills required

- Ability to focus on multiple priorities and drive solutions in a fast paced working environment

- Relevant work experience in data quality, data analytics, data management within the financial services industry required

- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

- Support APAC Regional Decision Management team in the area of Risk analytics for Credit Cards. The role will be part of APAC risk analytics team and will be an individual contributor role reporting to a team lead

- The Role holder is expected to independently manage specific projects within the job scope and work closely with APAC Regional office in Singapore to deliver the analytics solutions

- Undertake review of Risk based exclusions for various product acquisition campaigns / portfolio management initiatives (such as Balance Transfer / Credit limit increase / Credit limit decrease etc- ) for credit cards

- Evaluate performance of campaigns / products / segments based on risk metrics such as Net credit losses, delinquency rates etc- and recommend risk policy changes (e.g., bureau score cut-offs, age cut-offs, occupation exclusions, segment swap-in / swap-out etc- ) in consultation with Regional analytics / Regional In-business risk counterparts

- Develop any Risk MI as required to evaluate the performance of policy changes implemented

- Carry out data exploration / process design activities to support tapping into new data sources to help size / deliver risk policy review benefits
