About the Company :


Teach A Class Foundation is India's first funding platform for teachers. It provides teachers with a platform to harness their enthusiasm and intent to do more by helping them raise funds for innovative tools and classroom resources.

The platform, teachaclass.org, acts as a central hub connecting impactful tools, deserving teachers and enthusiastic donors, while ensuring complete transparency and visibility during the process. In its first year of operations we have already supported over 75 teachers, impacted 5000+ students and partnered with several vendors.

About the role

The Executive Director would play a crucial role in leading the cause of Teach A Class. This person will be accountable for developing, executing and managing Teach A Class's long-term agendas. He will own and manage external stakeholder relationships and fundraising activities.

Along with this, the Executive Director will also be responsible for organisational development and team-mentoring & team-building.This individual will be directly reporting to the Board and will manage a team of 10 employees at the start.

Detailed Responsibilities :

1. Strategy :

- Support to create a strategy which is in alignment with the vision of Teach A Class together with the founders and the Board

2. Overall operations and organisation development :





- Ensure the overall smooth functioning among the different teams namely - Vendor Onboarding, Marketing, Fundraising, Teacher Selection and the Implementation team.

- Manage smooth execution of the various projects including regular communication with the donors and the Board

3. Stakeholder Management :

- Own and manage external stakeholder relationships including donors, teachers, vendors, the Board and the employees.

- This will entail networking and relationship building to ensure that Teach A Class can achieve it's set goals.

4. Fundraising :

- Engage potential donors with an aim to increase the donor-base for Teach A Class.

5. Team Management :

- Develop and oversee a high performing team across the organisation functions

- Build, manage and mentor a team of professionals to support the growth of the organisation.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Must haves :

- 6+ years of experience with managing overall operations or project management

- Experience managing and building a team

- Experience managing senior external stakeholders, driven by strong presentation skills, both written and verbal.

- Experience working in/ Or strong passion for working in the education sector

Preferred :

- Experience working in the non-profit or development sector

- Ability to provide structure/ break down problems, driven by experience working in the consulting background

- Understands how do work with financial modelling and budgeting
