TE Connectivity - Supervisor Controller - Finance & Costs (7-13 yrs)

Position Overview:

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (ADM) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Supv Controller (Costing & Inventory) based out of Bangalore, India. This position will report to Sr Mgr Operations FP&A. A key focus of the role is to drive costing, compliance and controlling activities across all plants in the BU. The analyst will have a significant impact on BU-wide standard costing, inventory control, CIP/Asset utilization, audit themes, CER standardization,

ensuring 100% compliance with TE financial policy.

Key Responsibilities of the Position:

- Liaise with plant controllers on standard cost set up and interim cost change

- Maintain necessary master data, prepare interim cost change, obtain BU approval and submit with corporate for executing changes

- Analyse and communicate annual recost impact, share details with Plant Controllers. Identify gaps and drive corrective action

- Ensure 100% compliance with TE Financial policies and share costing best practices across plants. Prepare standard work documentation and promote globally consistent business processes

- Prepare standardized template for data gathering to facilitate an efficient calculation of standard costs

- Drive inventory management (including DOH), tracking and analysis, identify and communicate opportunities for improvement across plants

- Drive inventory process control - adherence to DoA, cycle count process monitoring, inventory reconciliation, physical stock audits, inventory aging and obsolescence analysis, Co-ordination with Business Decision Support (BDS) team to ensure Master Data clean up activities and adherence to Global Standards

- Routinely review and address CIP and underutilized / idle assets

- Monitor audit themes and proactively communicate and address concerns, if any, with plant controllers

- Drive global standardization on CER (Capital request) preparation, rationale and documentation.

Desired candidate:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CA is preferred.

- 7+ yrs of experience in cost accounting, chartered accountant or controller role, preferably in a manufacturing setting

- Knowledge of SAP PR2/HANA. Strong Excel, Access, and Data warehouse skills

- Understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, cost accounting, cost analysis, and reporting matters

- Critical thinking and core system, process knowledge and strong learning agility to understand any system change and act as the go to person for any system change related matter

- Strong analytical skill to understand root cause for inventory movement and driving projects for inventory improvement

- Critical thinker and strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
