TE Connectivity - Senior Financial Analyst (9-15 yrs)

Position Overview:

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (ADM) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Senior Operations Financial Analyst based out of Bangalore, India. This position will report to Sr Mgr Operations FP&A. A key focus of the role is to drive forecast consolidation, reporting and analytics and provide support to the Operations team. The position serves as a Finance business partner to Central Operations functions such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality and TEOA driving enhanced visibility into Operations performance and enable actions to drive performance improvement. The analyst will have a significant impact on driving gross margin expansion, assisting the team in achieving both short term and long term performance goals.

Another key element of the role is to improve financial knowledge and controls within Operations ensuring 100% compliance with TE financial policy and increased awareness amongst non-Finance functions

Key Responsibilities of the Position:

- Support weekly/monthly/Quarterly forecast consolidation (PPV, MVar, Scrap/PFO, Capex, etc.) and regular spend/recovery tracking; review and document deltas to plan, prior year, prior forecast and financial commit

- Proactively communicate potential risks & opportunities, through variance, bridges & decision support analysis

- Improving financial performance across operational areas, including material spend, labor, overhead and freight/duty

- Partner with Operations teams to improve visibility on key metrics and track progress on Material and Conversion productivity and related pipelines

- Drive tracking and analysis on logistics (freight and duty)

- Financial support and analysis for the plant/business unit including capacity analysis, Automation projects, and other capital investments

- Support preparation of strategic plans, budget, deep dive, QOR, MBR and other ad-hoc projects, requests and presentations

- Analysis for manufacturing cost improvement and footprint initiatives.

- Support the development of Plant P&L- s

- Perform ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, gaps and business insights

Desired Candidate:

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Engineering. MBA and/or CA required.

- 10 yrs of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controller role.

- Experience working in a manufacturing setting

- Understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, cost accounting, cost analysis, and reporting matters

- Understanding of financial drivers and their impact within a manufacturing environment

- Understanding of manufacturing, procurement, and other supply chain matters

- Critical thinker and strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with SAP; Strong Excel, Access, and Data warehouse skills
