- The Marketing Manager, Authors & Researchers will be primarily responsible for leading the High Impact Researcher programme in India - identifying and attracting the high impact authors and KOLs across all research disciplines (S&T, HSS and Health Sciences) in South Asia, providing them with a simple, clear & supportive way to get their article published and read. Conceptualize and promote content initiatives from India into global journals through campaigns, events & services.

- They will lead the open access initiative in India (T&F as well as Cogent) working closely with the sales manager, Open Access in India. The marketing manager would be responsible for managing events related to editors, societies, authors, researchers, scholars, editors and spread information about language editing services provided by Taylor & Francis in the academic community. The core responsibility of this profile is to push high quality content from India into global journals as well as build a brand image of Taylor & Francis as a hub for worldwide research.

Key Accountabilities

- Plan for approaches to all stakeholders in the research publishing ecosystem in India and South Asia

- Responsible for marketing T&F Journals by planning and implementing effective marketing campaigns with the aim of achieving authorship goals and contributing to a profitable, commercial business.

- Aim to understand the publishing needs and frustrations of researchers at all points in their careers, and through opportunities, such as OA, develop profitable revenue streams for the organisation.

- Understand why and how researchers conduct research and be a facilitator in disseminating their work.

- Specifically, support researchers in the South Asian Region who need extra support to assist them in getting their work published and enable them to grow their profile and the impact of their work.

- Develop effective data analyses and messaging best practice to identify, segment, inform and attract the high impact researchers.

- Align our customer expertise with the subject expertise of Editorial to target high impact researchers to make us the - Publisher of Choice- .

- Host editorial conversations, how to get published sessions, round tables, attend subject conferences, and promote Indian journals programme

- To develop best-practice data-driven marketing towards attracting the best authors. Work closely with Authors & Researchers team in UK and across the business to ensure that our workflows are customer-friendly.

- Support the Open Access Sales Manager in conceptualizing & curating talks, workshops, user awareness sessions, campaign management leading to revenue generation through pledging of APCs.

- To develop best practice in open access marketing for fully OA & cogent journals

- To work with Editorial and other marketing groups to enhance our understanding of authors & researchers

- Manage OA communication with all stakeholders: Authors, Researchers, Sales colleagues

- Engage with sales, editorial and marketing teams to develop OA promotion and sales strategies

- To generate articles submission leads from existing and new authors/researchers through marketing campaigns

- Analyse and report campaign analytics

- Work with conference organizers to bring them onboard to publish conference articles in special issues and sponsored collections

- Attend conferences and research events to engage with authors and researcher

The ideal candidate will have:

- Advance digital marketing expertise including influencers marketing

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Experience in web technologies such as Marketing CRM, Social Studio, SFDC

- Analytical mindset, data driven decisions

- Results focused
