Senior Manager Wash


1. To develop conceptual framework for Social Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) by coordinating with various stakeholders and undertaking (field) research to identify key insights from community action/ inaction

2. To develop community mobilization tools and methodologies for effective engagement of the target audiences and undertake evaluation on regular basis to suggest mid-term course corrections

3. To define SBCC tools as an integrated part of community mobilization/ training process and design Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the same.

4. To develop Information, Education & Communication (IEC) materials in line with the SBCC messaging and context (region) specific requirements

5. To develop detailed implementation plans for community mobilisation and SBCC interventions, and ensure implementation of quality deliverables against set objectives, targets and timelines

6. To develop standardized training modules and undertake capacity building & training of key resources within implementation team for effective deployment of community mobilization and SBCC plans

7. To oversee quality of implementation of SBCC across WaSH interventions and geographies by undertaking field visits. To provide technical support to define SBCC approaches and activities to be adopted in mainstream programmes related to WaSH behaviours

8. To develop partnership with research institutions, domain experts, etc. to enhance quality of community engagement processes

9. To engage with government at state / district level for scaling up of implementation plan through various models of community mobilization

10. To provide programmatic and technical support to project teams and partner organisations for strengthening thematic engagements

11. To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports and share it with all relevant stakeholders

12. To appraise proposals/requests, prepare annual and financial reports to identify grant making/management opportunities

Knowledge & Skills:

- In depth domain knowledge of the sector

- Sensitivity to gender concerns and social inclusion aspects

Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience, preferably in areas of capacity building, community mobilisation, behavioural change aspects

Qualifications: Masters in Communication, Social or Behavioural Sciences, Public Health or related fields
