1. Assist the Group CFO on matters related to Income tax (review, coordinate, prepare and file returns), assessments and appeals 2. Ensure compliance with all existing laws and regulations for charitable institutions and provide tax advice to various stakeholders. Research, analyze and interpret applicable tax laws. 3. Provide support to the management in matters related to any taxation authority and litigation for Tata Trusts, Societies and Section 8 companies 4. Independently handle and manage responses to various tax authorities at a regional and central level. Liaising with Income tax consultants, advocates and solicitors. 5. Establish appropriate systems and processes for tax risk management for the Trusts 6. Participate in ad hoc projects on behalf of the taxation team and ensure work is appropriately updated on tracking systems 7. Work cross functionally with peer groups internally at the Trusts - 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience (appearing before Income tax authorities for front ending hearings, appeals and Tribunals, in depth knowledge on Indian tax laws)
