Tata Motors - Senior Manager - Legal - Sales & Marketing Vertical (3-8 yrs)
Position Summary: To partner with the regional sales, service and marketing teams, providing proactive legal and regulatory support. To ensure compliance at all sales and marketing locations in the region. To ensure continuous scan of the sales and marketing operations in the region and to derisk and simplify the same on an ongoing basis.
- To handle and reduce litigation in the region. The position should deliver innovative and simplified ways of working and standardize processes and formats for sales and marketing managers in the region to ease the conduct of business for achieving growth. To foster teamwork with other legal teams and to participate in best practice sharing.
1. Business Partnering: Engage with business to identify impending risks in the region and suggest ways and means to avoid future complications.
2. Proactive support on standardizing processes: Identify areas of routine documentation and create standard processes and documents for the same.
3. Issue management in the region.
4. Consumer and Customer litigations in the region:
- Assessing Risks of Litigation: Identifying work areas / units with higher legal risks & take preventive steps
- Planning Tactics to curb risk and minimize fallout: Identify creative ways to mitigate business risk without affecting business operations
- Counsel Management: Build healthy working relationship with counsel for ensuring effective representation in court matters
- Strong defense in each case: Examine case facts and related documents
5. Handling Civil and Criminal Litigation in High Court and Arbitration Cases.
6. Compliance, co-ordination and facilitation of all sales & service establishments in the region
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance to applicable laws at all sales and service units in the region
- Strengthen the TML Legatrix (Legal Compliance mapping system) and ensure that the system is updated in a timely manner in line with changes and amendments in law
7. Marketing communications of the region
- Approve advertisements and schemes proposed by Sales, Service, Spares and Marketing teams of the region
- Timely legal support to Sales, Service and Marketing teams of the region
- Benchmarking processes with competitors
8. Anti spurious/ anti counterfeit activities in the region
- To align with the PV & CV spares team and curb the menace in the market
