Tata Motors - Deputy General Manager - Modelling & Scenario Planning (8-12 yrs)
- Develop and maintain in-house repository of auto-sector specific sustainability frameworks, practices, trends and data required for driving sustainability strategy & initiatives in a Corporate context.
- Consolidation of disclosures at different organizational levels (TML) as per requirements of sustainability reporting frameworks/standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.). Engage with stakeholders and respond to stakeholder queries.
- Consolidation of ratings / feedback to internal stakeholders for performance improvement.
- Carry out life cycle assessment studies for products at vehicle-, aggregate- and component- level and for key manufacturing processes.
- Comparative analysis and benchmarking on LCA among Automobile OEMs for internal use.
- Interact with key stakeholders (internal & external) to understand current and future global sustainability trends and their relevance to automotive industry.
- Modeling of GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2 & 3) and as per standard protocol.
- Work in CFTs to interface with external stakeholders - Subject Matter Experts, Academia, Consultancy Organizations, Service Providers, Industry professionals, etc., on executing above responsibilities and achieving defined milestones/targets.
Technical/ Functional competencies:
- Experience in working with global network of LCA and eco-label certification practitioners.
- Expertise in life-cycle modeling projects in automobile sector, using software like GaBi/Simapro/open LCA.
- In-depth knowledge of Bill of Materials and Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data collection.
- In-depth knowledge of GHG emission calculation and reporting (Scope 1/2/3) protocol and SBTi for GHG emission modeling.
- In-depth knowledge of automobile value chain and manufacturing technologies in automobile sector.
- Hands on experience in executing detailed cradle-to-grave LCA studies as per ISO 14044:2006; Life Cycle Assessment - Requirements and Guidelines as amended and related standards.
- Understanding of product related category rules for publishing environmental product declarations (EPD).
- Hands on experience in quantifying benefits of product circularity.
- Expertise in Project management tools.
- Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills with proven analytical expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
