Tata Motors - Deputy General Manager - Lead - Digital Communications (10-15 yrs)

This position will be responsible to provide holistic communication solutions via earned, owned and shared media (non-paid/non-commercial) to engage with audiences digitally:

a) Act as a centre of expertise and excellence (COE) to develop strategic and leadership communication

b) Actively collaborate with other COEs, Corporate Functions and Business Partners to drive engagement with audiences via digital media - handles & platforms

c) Curate and narrate interesting stories to propagate brand, business, products, culture, values and relevant themes

d) Proactively conceive, organise and implement ideas and strategies to inform, educate and engage

e) Responsible for all digital posts on website and social media platforms to drive engagement and manage issues

f) Develop, update and timely disseminate all relevant content and collateral to facilitate this

g) For addressing all routine queries and issues management to enhance digital communication for TML, in line with company guidelines and policies

Contribution to planning

- Make Digital communications a two-way exchange to drive engagement and inspire behaviour change via a holistic 360 approach

- Collaborate with partners the key messages to be conveyed and accordingly develop relevant collaterals and campaigns

- Create Digital Media Strategy with define focus social media platforms

- Produce, plan, update and review digital media content on the corporate website while adhering to defined quality standards and company guidelines

- Creating appropriate digital communications strategy, plan, content and calendar for sustained coverage of brand, product and business achievements

- Engage with relevant agencies and team members to develop holistic plans to drive the desired narrative

- Identify potential issues that may crop up and proactively suggest measure to mitigate impact

- Regular monitoring and analysis of impact of actions and initiatives undertaken for continuous learning and refinement as needed

Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)

- Lead and develop supporting team as well as partner agencies to optimize results

- Support Head-Corp Comm in strategic communication and reputation management initiatives

- Ensure a comprehensive digital communications programme and calendar is designed and implemented for businesses and function in alignment with respective business partners

- Create appropriate digital events, content and collateral to drive messaging and facilitate interactions

- Ideate and recommend appropriate Communication tools & content to make digital communication more engaging and purposeful

- Identify trends and interventions required from impact analysis of activities and initiatives undertaken

- Custodian of company's digital assets and online reputation - Ensure all relevant information is updated on it timely

Website and Online Reputation Management

The role will be a part of the corporate communications team, and will manage the overall corporate website strategy, benchmark to leading industry and other websites

- Track and use upcoming technologies to keep the website most contemporary to improve user engagement across a diverse set of visitors

- Drive powerful content for the website to make it the hub of company's digital engagement, working closely with social media teams to amplify the same

- Lead and manage the engagement with the relevant agencies for the website and content

- Monitor web analytics to understand traffic sources and visitor patterns to propose improvements for site navigation, functionality and design

Social Media and Digital PR

- Implement social media strategies for Tata Motors at the Corporate level, its business verticals across Commercial Vehicles and Passenger Vehicles business and also International business.

- Build brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and product adoption.

- Create content which meets our business requirements and customer standards

- Develop and deliver social media optimization (SMO)

- Stay current with social media trends and best practices

- Research opportunities for new social marketing platforms and select adapt current process to fit client needs. Review and approve content on a daily basis.

- Create and manage regular promotions/activations carried out by business units

Content creation

- Curate and create interesting & engaging content in different forms - blogs, posts, videos, podcasts

- Suggest and develop relevant content to optimize platform and narrative potential

- Visual storytelling to simplify and easily explain diverse topics

- Encourage adoption and adaption of new formats to engage audiences and drive messaging
