Tata AIG General Insurance - Technical Architect

- Engineering leader with strong customer focus, ability to solve complex business problems, attention to detail and highly collaborative communication skills. 

- Technical Architect will lead a team of talented engineers to deliver high quality customer facing web and app, that can run at scale. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who embrace new technologies with cutting edge development practices, Continuous Integration, continuous delivery & deployment, and world class mobility experience. Someone who can collaborate with management to drive the architectural strategies to support business growth and lead the technical innovation i.e. POC on latest technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

- Be responsible for product architecture including security, performance, maintainability and ease of use for customer facing web and mobile app for scale

- Ability to architect the application, ability to code and guide other developers, validate code quality, automate unit tests, build and release

- Collaboration with cross functional teams in terms of development & deployment.

- Provide hands-on technical leadership to 15-20 member engineering team

- Participate in and conducting design/implementation sessions with cross functional teams

- Conduct code review to ensure all required engineering principles are adhered to

- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

- Hands-on in setting up DevOps, resolve production issues as it comes, guide developers to follow the coding best practices, set up automation testing and build and support product roadmap with technical know-how

- Should be able to associate himself with Agile, Pair-Programming, Scrum, CI-CD, Devops, Jenkins, TDD, AWS, JIRA, Bitbucket, Git

Education : 

BE/ B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering + MBA

- 8-14 years of total professional experience

- 4+ years of experience in leading development team

- 4+ years of experience in Agile application development projects

- Hands on experience as MEAN/MERN Stack Developer

- Should have led the design and development of at least one customer facing application across full stack

- Solid experience of designing/development/testing micro-services based applications

- Good knowledge writing/publishing independent NodeJS modules.

- Good knowledge on Continuous integration and build automation frameworks such as Jenkins

- Good knowledge of NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB

- Hands-on experience working with Object Oriented JavaScript (OOJS), JavaScript libraries and their practical uses in building complex interactive experiences

- Exposure to AWS or any cloud service

- Work transparently in a non-hierarchical, matrix-based organization structure

- Automated Testing

- Sound knowledge of Software Architecture and design patterns

- Self-learner with a desire to stay informed on best practices and latest in web development

- Ability to multi-task and switch context to changing priorities in a highly dynamic environment

- Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially in a complex application stacks
