Key Result Areas

- Business Continuity Management (BCM) Operations

- Identify the improvement opportunities in Datacenter and prepare the business cases

- Execute datacenter projects on Windows and Solaris platforms

- Good understanding of DC Operations and Management

- Capable of handing the DR environments and online data replication tools like dataguard and recovery point

- Conduct the BCP and DR drills for TALIC in accordance with the business, operations and facility teams

- Ownership of the Business Continuity Plans and DR plans for M/s TATA AIA LIFE INSURANCE CO. Ltd. (TALIC) that includes

- Liaison with different Business Units and assist them in analysis of the Corporate BIAs to ensure that TALIC’s Regulatory and Business needs are met.

- Design, development, maintenance and update of function wise Business Continuity plans, and independent review and validation of the same in order to meet Business objectives.

- Recommend recovery strategies and options, and assist with the implementation of recovery solutions

- Develop schedules for training / awareness for Business Continuity processes across PAN India.

Coordinate Business Continuity Plan exercises and periodic execution of Test Drills to ensure that the TALIC’s BCP and Technology Recovery Plan (TRP) can respond effectively in emergency situations.

- Report the business continuity status of all Business units to senior management.

- Provide expertise and support to management and business functional areas, as required, when a Business disruption occurs.

- Ensure all concerned vendors adhere to the defined business continuity and contingency plans

Process Adherence

- Adherence to ISO 27001 policies and procedures of TALIC to ensure that adopted BCP framework is maintained effectively.

- Risk management and BIA processes are adhered to manage the BCP operations of TALIC.

Vendor Management

- Handling Vendor relationships for local support during Business disruption scenarios.

- Necessary follow up with Support vendors for ensuring timely deliverables from vendors.

Capacity Planning

- Ability to seek critical inputs from the Systems Team on Application as well as Hardware usage trends & map it to find the gap as against the Business Requirement in BCP plan.

Compliance

- Exposure to the ISMS and BCP / DR Tools to meet the compliance requirements of ISO 27001 standard.

- Facilitate DR Drills as per defined schedule & ensure DR Infrastructure readiness for BCP Users at site.

Projects - As per Business requirements

Skills Required

Technical

- Understanding of the Project Management Methodology, Tools and Techniques

- Excellent understanding of the Business continuity lifecycle

- Understanding of the Financial Services Industry

- 3-4 years experience in Financial Services Industry

- Understanding of risk and control (BCP methodologies)

- Hands-on Experience in Organization level Risk Management process. Implementation experience in BS25999/ will be an added advantage

- Knowledge in creation of BCMS policies, Procedures and Guidelines for an organization

- Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and external/internal stakeholders.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

- Must be able to interface and coordinate efficiently with third party Business vendors in remote locations.
