TaskUs - Senior Manager - Privacy/Data Protection (5-10 yrs)

- Provide coordination, advisory and implementation support as a part of the Global Privacy team as it shapes a culture of privacy throughout TaskUs global operations & further embeds privacy by design into TaskUs products and services.

- Support Director of Global Privacy to implement Global Privacy Program and integrate into wider organization data governance framework.

- Collaborate with, and provide training and support to TaskUs HR, Sales & Marketing, Information Security, Legal and Operations teams to build privacy by design into their business processes.

- Partner with commercial counsel and procurement to provide privacy subject-matter support for commercial agreements and vendor management.

- Work with TaskUs Compliance team to implement technical and organisational measures and scalable processes for demonstrating privacy compliance including data privacy impact assessments.

- Respond to privacy and security related customer and regulatory inquiries and investigations, and coordinate such responses with the Director of Global Privacy.

- Draft external privacy notices and disclosures, and manage/update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global laws bearing on privacy and data protection.

- Remain up-to-date on relevant privacy, data security, and consumer protection laws and regulations, industry approaches to privacy program management, and on privacy and security technological developments and evolving industry standards to provide an ongoing ability to provide sound compliance advice.

- Work with HR, InfoSec, Compliance, and Digital Automation teams to scope and perform periodic data privacy hygiene assessments, mitigation and remediation, including data privacy by design and default, accountability and compliance monitoring, and the mitigation of privacy and security risks.

- Help develop, enhance, scale and run the existing global privacy program, including: privacy operations and documentation; employee training on data privacy and security, policy enforcement, privacy compliance program monitoring and auditing, and third-party risk assessment.

- Support Global Privacy Office to measure and document privacy compliance by assisting in development / implementation of global control framework, referencing the laws of the US, EU and member states, UK and other European countries, Mexico, Colombia and India.

- Form strong collaborative relationships with TaskUs teams globally.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree (preferably in law); Advanced degree a plus.

- 5 + years- experience at a top law firm or in-house counsel providing actionable advice to business on different legal risks and obligations under privacy and data security laws in the U.S. and Europe (including CCPA, GDPR, IDPB, ISO27001 etc.),

- Hand on experience in advising and managing internal privacy policies, procedures and data lifecycle, security and privacy, and managing security incident investigations.

- Fundamental project management skills (e.g. project charters, trackers, timelines, and reports).

- Relevant privacy certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM) desirable not mandatory.

- Experience working for global services & technology companies, part of in-house privacy teams, privacy department, or consulting firm.

- Sophisticated Microsoft Office and GSuite skills (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Docs, Sheets, or Slides).
