Investment Analyst - Shelter Fund

Ideal Academic Qualifications : Any graduate with MBA Degree or Chartered Accountant or CFA

Prior Experience :

- Experience of 5-10 years of in a role that required investment evaluation, structuring and handling the investment process in real estate projects/ Infrastructure projects

- Experience in financial modelling and financial structuring with strong research and analytical skills

- Ability to think strategically, analyse and synthesize related diverse data and information

- Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize, deal with frequent and unexpected changes, and work within tight timeframes

- Presentation skills with ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, articulate issues and recommend solutions

- Experience in sourcing and structuring deals would be advantageous

Role :

Deal evaluation and Execution :

- Evaluating investment opportunities based on macro & sector research, company capabilities, promoter & management, risk assessment, financial and market study reports

- Financial Analysis and Financial modelling including structuring of investments and assessment of returns of the investment

- Conducting due diligence for the potential investment / target company

- Preparing investment recommendations and investment memos for investment committees.

- Handling finalization of all definitive documents like term sheets, investment agreements etc.

Monitoring and exit :

- Assisting the team in monitoring the performance of the investment portfolio

- Assisting the team in reporting of the performance of the portfolio

- Identifying risks and incorporating appropriate risk mitigation measures for portfolio

- Monitoring market conditions

- Coordinating due diligence during exit of investments

- Assisting the team during exit by looking at financial returns

Preparing memo for exits and presenting the same to Investment committee

Other Responsibilities :

- Ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations

- Keeping abreast of market conditions, legal environment and industry developments

- Coordinating with advisors, investment bankers, consultants, lawyers and technical experts

- Experience in developing concept papers for the industry/sector would be advantageous
