The role holder would be part of the Digital Transformation team, based at HO, Chennai and would report to the Chief Digital Officer. The role would be to manage data to provide business insights & solve complex business insights, provide data insights to enable BUs take business decisions and roll-out new initiatives. Key responsibilities: 1) Set the overall data science strategy; identify - use cases- for data analytics across firm wide initiatives 2) Finalize technology and algorithms for understanding and providing insight into structured/unstructured data 3) Gather, interpret, & analyze data using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports 4) Provide understandable and actionable business intelligence for key stakeholders 6) Project Manage data science enabled digital initiatives with internal business functions 5) Work with internal teams (IT) to drive initiatives & monitor outcomes (reporting dashboards) Candidate profile : 1) Masters Degree in any of the following: Econometric s, Statistics, Operations Research, Business administration 2) Total experience of at least 8 years with at least 4 years of experience in leading key Analytical/Data science projects 3) 10 - 15 years of work exp max 4) Technical expertise in analytical programming languages like R & Python and hands on experience on data mining/statistical tools like SAS, XLMiner and MatLab 5) Good communication / interpersonal skills; presentation skills 6) Prior experience: Preference for profiles with Consulting / industrial companies with strong analytics practice
