System Delivery Leader:

As part of the Technical Service Center (TSC) organization, the System Delivery Leader is responsible for coordinating the activities of the System Validation team members allocated to his / her project, ensuring the Delivery and Quality objectives are met.

For the project he/she has been assigned, the System Delivery Leader mainly has in his scope Validation planning, monitoring and control responsibilities, with all the aspects this embraces (e.g. risk management, identification of dependencies, team animation, reporting, communication).

This scope also includes technical guidance to the System Validation team, based on his/her experience.

Main activities/responsibilities -

- Create and maintain the System Validation L2 and L3 Plan deriving from L1 master plan, in collaboration with other project areas, e.g. SW, Methodology and Quality.

- Create and coordinate to form SV plan, while the test strategy shall come up from SV set up team.

- Ensure the constant consistency of the Project Team Charter related to the System Validation team.

- Ensuring proper resolution of open points and maintenance of knowledge bank within team.

- Monitor the allocation of resources (HW, setup and manpower) as per plan. In particular Project specific HW setups.

- Define the scope of validation from Software releases in alignment with project needs, and communicate to Delivery Manager or Project Manager. Review Delivery Reports based on planned delivery contents.

- Adhere to the standard Validation process, driving the related tailoring activities for the project, submitting improvement proposals whenever suitable.

- Ensure the deployment of the tailored methodology and the Test Case reuse strategy as defined in the System Validation Plan.

- Mandatory Participant in CCB (Change Control Board), so as to provide estimation for changes involved and derive work package.

- Identify the skill required for the workpackage delivery. Training the team if and when required.

- Support the Delivery / Service Manager to respect allocated budget to the project.

- Participate the Quality review from project point of view.

- Coordinate and monitor optimum usage of the System Validation team allocated to the project.

- Defect management monitoring for project, in collaboration with Front Desk.

- Deploy proactively and maintain the Risk Management Plan in collaboration with the Delivery / Service Manager, communicating to all relevant stakeholders. Ensure the coverage of all identified critical Validation risks with a proper mitigation plan.

- Maintain Daily (white Board Tracker) updated and Report the status, issues and progress of the System Validation to the Delivery Manager / Project Manager, deploying and maintaining project-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI- s).

- Project related travel plan and initiation.

Key Skills

- System Validation planning, controlling and monitoring (via Microsoft Project planning, optional).

- Advance level in MS Office tools.

- Product knowledge (Cluster, Telematics, Infotainment, Body Control module, Lighting equipment, Engine / Transmission Control Unit).

- Embedded SDLC (full V-cycle).

- A SPICE and Agile methodology.

- Capacity of synthesis for technical planning issues.

- Work collaborate with the other areas (SV) specifically for the HW and Human resources. Problem resolution management.

- Customer management ability.

- Team mentorship/building. Conflict Management.

- Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) good practical knowledge.

- DXL scripting (optional).

- Advance level in the RCA tools and techniques.

Language Skills

- Advanced written and spoken English.

- Basic spoken Italian (optional)

- Basic spoken Japanese (optional)

- Basic spoken German (optional)

Education & Former Experience

- Electronics and communication/Electrical and Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering Degree.

- More than 2 years of experience in System Validation management in automotive industry (similar role).

- More than 4-5 years of experience as a SDLC member, different ECUs .

- Functional Safety certified (optional).
