Syngenta - Business Controller - CA/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

ROLE PURPOSE:

- The Business Controller plays a key role in managing, coordinating and driving the Finance and Planning activities of the business. This will include strategy development and implementation.

- The main objective is to provide targeted and insightful functional expertise where customer intimacy is key. This will be aligned to the business needs and should demonstrate a high level of business knowledge.

- The Business Contoller will contribute to the delivery of the business unit goals with sound financial advice, influence and support management in the critical areas of financial planning and management, monitoring and business analysis.

- The Business Controller will lead and participate in key business meetings.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Support the monthly management review process including S&OP reviews.

- Review and analyse monthly financial results and highlight issues to management

- Support or lead special projects as assigned by management.

- Be a proactive member of the Business Leadership Team driving improvements to business performance, process and culture.

- Proactively support, drive and deliver the financial process and performance

- Deliver a high quality decision support capability to the Business and enhance over time the financial capability of non-finance staff.

- Develop an accurate short, medium financial forecasting framework

- Guide the budgeting and planning process

- Drive achievement of operational improvement plans and key performance indicators

- Be a key influencer in commercial / supply deals (pricing, rebates, channel management, innovative deal structures to provide win/win for Syngenta and customer. Business Controller should be involved from first idea to completion.

Business Controller qualifications and requirements:

- Chartered Accountant / MBA from premium institute

- 7-9 years of work experience in big size FMCG, Consumer Durables, Pharma/Chemicals

- Well-developed leadership skills

- Team/ people Management and Stakeholder management
