JOB PURPOSE - The role will be heading the team responsible for implementing and managing the Internal Financial Controls, Compliance, Risk Management, BCP framework and facilitating Internal Audits. - Performing process audits/ reviews, evaluating changes for exposure to finance risks and implementing controls to mitigate risks will be a part of ongoing job responsibility. - The ideal candidate will be proficient in finance, accounting, compliance and controls with an in-depth understanding of the structure and flow of business processes. - The candidate should also have strong understanding of operational processes and an outlook to understanding business environment. - Experience in Enterprise Risk Management and understanding of BCP will be an added advantage and highly desirable. JOB PURPOSE and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - The primary objective of the individual is to manage the enterprise wide risk program. - Ensure the adequacy of internal controls in the organization with reference to Financial Reporting of the Company - The team will also monitor through verification, confirmation and testing that there are no instances where there are inefficiencies in the operating effectiveness of key financial controls in the organization. - The team will perform audit of processes to identify areas of improvement and efficiency. - In addition to this, the team will also be involved in monitoring compliance with statutory regulations; manage access related Segregation of Duties (SoD), liaise with auditors for timely closure of audit and related issues - Work with key stakeholders to establish the approach to Enterprise Risk Management which comprises of risk identification, quantification, mitigation and management. - Contribute to the continuous improvement towards Risk Management methodology and work towards supporting the Risk agenda of the organization. - Act as the Project Manager for the timely execution and completion of the enterprise wide Business Continuity Planning exercise. - Understand the Governance Policies & Procedures, Finance Process, Accounting Function and its implications on the Business and the internal controls. - Develop an effective system to monitor controls and implement controls to address any risks which are not adequately mitigated. Evaluate the efficacy of processes and internal control procedures that are currently in place on an annual basis including governance procedures. - Contribute to process/policy changes to improve effectiveness of operations, support such initiatives and projects to improve control environment across the entity. - Support the IT team in the review of access controls related SoD violation, check any open SoD violations and co-ordinate with operations team(s) to mitigate the risk. - Act as the main point of contact between the auditors and the internal stakeholders for internal and IFC audit planning, execution, management and completion. - Develop good working relationship with Business Stakeholders and staff at functional level to ensure efficient clearance of issues and timely closure of issues identified by auditors. - Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes. - Conduct internal reviews to evaluate the efficiency of business processes and controls EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: - Educational - CA or CPA - Working knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP - FI CO Modules) - Expertise in MS Office tools - MS Excel; MS Powerpoint; MS Access - Proficient in finance, accounting, auditing, risk, compliance and internal controls. - Excellent business processes knowledge - Strong Communication (Written & Verbal) Skills. - Proactive; self-starter and team player. - Ability to see the - big picture- and understand the holistic approach to process improvement. - Ability to work in Cross Functional Teams - Organized and detail oriented. - Experience with documenting, flowcharting and analyzing the business processes
