Title: Assistant Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis

Band: PB

Work Timings: 3pm to 12am IST (should be flexible to stretch during month end closing)

Role Summary/Purpose: This position is a part of the Finance Centre of Excellence team at Retail finance, Hyderabad which carries out financial planning, analysis and reporting work for various Functions across Retail Finance Business in US

Essential Responsibilities:

- Prepare dashboards, analyze and interpret periodic financial data for functional management accurately and on a timely basis

- Prepare accrual analysis, journal entries and lead the month end close process

- Provide commentary and insights on performance against budgeted (OP) plan and prior year

- Support annual SII/Blue Print and Operating Planning exercise including upload into Hyperion and Client profitability

- Support various Facilities managers in the procurement processes. Maintain strong relationship with the US as well as internal GEGS, Hyderabad teams

- Implement necessary internal controls and procedures to maintain accuracy in reporting. Identify process improvement opportunities to support Facilities teams

- Monitor business updates and work closely with finance managers in US to identify growth (FTE addition) opportunities for GEGS as a cost effective solution to the business

- Partner with Finance Manager in U.S on ad-hoc projects

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Graduate in Finance or any equivalent degree

- MBA/CA/CWA preferred

- 4+ years of experience in Financial Reporting & Analysis

- Knowledge of Oracle (Hyperion)

- Candidate should have a very high level of attention to detail

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, multitasking capabilities are a must

- Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans and deliver results timely

- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work in teams

- Ability to lead projects and assignments

- Knowledge of MS Access, Advanced Excel & Macros.

Desired Characteristics:

- Most prior experiences in a services oriented captured business environment preferred - other experiences in KPO may also be preferred

- Prior position in India supporting a senior leader preferred

- Prior experience mirroring US operating hours preferred;

- Prior working knowledge of Hyperion is preferred;

- Demonstrated strong analytical, project management and organizational skills
