Head of Finance - Responsible for the financial health of the company. - Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term. - You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments. Roles and responsibilities : Strategic Management : - Key member of the leadership team responsible for influencing company's direction, strategies, growth and strategic planning - Work with shareholders and senior leadership team to develop and implement firm-wide finance policies, procedures and financial KPIs / objectives across all functional teams - Play business partner role to other departments / functional teams to help drive productivity improvement projects and logic-check quantitative insights in preparation of business cases to aid decision making - Assist in quantitative aspects of new business opportunities evaluation (eg. M&A, new contracts, new verticals, etc.) as may be required Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis : - Set up in-house finance, governance & controls, and accounting function - Knowledge of using and managing implementation of accounting software and relevant MIS - Work closely with IT to design and automate and maintain management reporting - Ensure timely closing of monthly management accounts including consolidation across entities and sending of required reports to shareholders as appropriate - Ensure timely preparation of audit financials in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards - Work with sales, business development, IT, marketing and operations to construct and maintain a robust business analytics, financial and operating KPI tracking program - Spearhead the budgeting process and budget review on a monthly basis including long term financial projections - Monitor company's performance vs. budget and provide variance analysis - Propose corrective actions and proactively assist senior team to control and manage expenses and improve productivity - Cash Management : Manage the company's cashflows and financial positions - Internal Controls : Review and improve internal controls and financial processes - Tax Compliance : Ensure timely submission of VAT returns and CIT returns, manage tax audit - Investor Relations : Manage communications with existing and potential investors, preparation of investor and board meeting presentations and other fundraising materials if required Requirements : Qualifications : Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance - Strong experience in FP&A, budgeting, sharp business acumen to consider the business' path to profitability and sustainability, able to be the liaison between the organization and the shareholders - In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices - Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior management. - Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting - Excellent analytical, and decision-making skills. - Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools. - Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Excellent organizational and leadership skills - Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
