Location: PAN India (initial base city + extensive travel)
Reports to: MD
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, approach, and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in assigned territories.
- Introduce the brand and products to the market, build brand visibility from scratch.
- Achieve sales targets through active fieldwork, retailer visits, and product placements.
- Drive product penetration in General Trade (kirana stores, supermarkets, local markets) and explore Modern Trade opportunities.
- Ensure proper product display, stock availability, and in-store branding at retail outlets.
- Gather real-time market feedback on competitors, pricing, schemes, and customer preferences.
- Execute sampling drives, promotions, and customer engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate daily sales reports, journey plans, and customer databases.
- Support distributor setup - help establish stockist operations, order booking processes, and payment collections.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring positive brand perception at the grassroots level.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Energetic, self-motivated, and willing to travel extensively.
- Good negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of basic FMCG sales principles and retail channel dynamics.
- Ability to work independently in an unstructured, evolving environment.
- Basic reporting skills (Excel, mobile reporting apps).
Qualifications:
- Graduate in any stream (preferred: MBA/BBA, B.Com, BA).
- 3-5 years of experience in FMCG sales/field sales.
- Language skills: Proficiency in local language + Hindi/English.
