The operations team is responsible for order fulfilment, logistics and customer experience. The Operations Training team is responsible for the development and implementation of Learning and Development initiatives for the Operations Team. The Regional Training Manager position is a middle-management role within the operations team, reporting in to the Operations Training Manager. The geographical scope of the role will be one Region, as defined by the Central Training team. The role would require the candidate to perform the following tasks: - Strategy and planning: The candidate will assist the Central Operations Training management in identifying the right Training interventions and initiatives required for the Operations hierarchy in the locations that Swiggy is operational in that fall within the defined geographical scope - Implementation: The candidate will be required to execute the training initiatives and interventions planned and approved by the Central Operations Training team, in his / her region. This includes end-to-end implementation accountability, comprising of initiation, tracking, regular status / completion reports and audits - Training delivery: The candidate is required to deliver quality training sessions to different audiences within the regional Operations hierarchy - ranging from the Operations Manager (OM)s to the Delivery Executive fleets - Audits: The candidate is required to do regular audits and prepare scorecards for the trainers within his region. - People management: The candidate will assist the Central Operations Training Manager in managing the Operations Trainers in his / her region Desired competencies: - Proven strong planning and organizational skills - Ability to evaluate and manage the resources and processes required for the successful implementation of training initiatives / interventions - Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. - Experience in Training delivery to Blue- or Grey-collar workforces, and managers of these workforces provide - A sense of responsibility and ownership - to be the single point of contact in the region for the Central Operations Training management - Manage and drive staffing plans, cost analysis, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, projects and other Change initiatives as required. - Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis and reports based on business need, and to be able to derive appropriate insights from data to present compelling business cases - 6 - 8 years of overall, and at least 4 years of directly relevant, work experience in a Logistics or similar industry - At least 4 years of training delivery experience, manage a set of trainers(added advantage) - Proficiency in English (oral and written), as well as oral proficiency in local language relevant to the region, is required - Experience in using MS Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel for documentation, reporting, data collection and data analysis - Should be willing to travel within the region - intra- and inter- city travel within the region will be an intrinsic part of the role
